Default GM Reward Points on New Car Purchase

Can one's GM credit card reward points be transferred to family/friends when purchasing a new car? Is there a limit? ($2,000 or less)

Default GM points

I did it a few years ago with my daughter-in-law…just added her as a user on my account..she bought the car…GM applied all of my $3500 points and even added an extra $1000.
Sweet deal for her…>>a week later I dropped her from the credit card…easy peasy
she bought a GMC suv…

I believe they can be transferred to family members. For details you should talk to customer service at the GM rewards/credit card company rather then depending on word-of-mouth on a corvette forum. Hope a transfer of points works out for you!

My brother did that with his points for my 21 purchase. He had to add me to the account first. Then dealer has to do their end of the process when you buy the car. One item, it's his zip code that is used to I.D. the account if different from yours.
