They are getting cutting back I notice, back in the day it was 6 months free, and Christmas time they had it free for week, instead of 6 weeks.

20 years ago Sirius/XM was great, but they haven't kept up with technology. Their audio is extremely compressed, which leads to a very noticeable difference in sound quality vs any of the modern streaming services like Pandora, Spotify, etc.
