Your avatar is the Stingray you just got, right? Think you'd sell it or keep both?

If it’s affordable per your budget, do it. The Z06 is one special car….motor. Last of the greats and bound to be a car that’s talked about for years to come.

I was in a similar situation- purchased by 23 Z51 2LT specd the way I want in May. In September my Z06 allocation came up. I didn’t want to lose $ on the Stingray and debated. Ended up taking delivery of my Z06 and sold the Z51.
Totally worth it and wouldn’t have it any other way. The stingray is a great vehicle, the Z06 is the best version of the Stingray. But the difference is night and day- it feels like it’s a completely different vehicle and you wouldn’t even know it was the same manufacturer if not for the obvious.

I think I would consider it, but I would miss the side warning indicators absent in the 1LT. That should be standard on all cars.
The real issue is the amount of overkill on the street, the the Stingray is way too much car for the street and the ZO6 is even more overkill. Really, how much do we need to feed our ego with these cars? If you are a track type, then really think about it, even though I wouldn’t want to risk crashing that thing on a track. Buy a dedicated POS for that.

Would I like to have a Z06? Hell yes!! Can I justify it to myself? Sadly no.
But to those that can, congrats.

I really wanted another Z06, to replace my 2016 Z06. Six months ago, my dealer said $25,000 over sticker and a wait of 2-5 years.
Neither of those terms work for me.
So ordered a Stingray and took delivery last week. Still wish it was a Z06, but I’ll live with what I have. And no way am I interested in trading and taking a hit on my stingray. I’m just about 73, so this will be my last vette.
Congrats to the guys that bought the C8 Z06.
