I no longer worry about snow; now I get mad when it's too cold to put the top down comfortably.
I visit Pennsylvania from time to time to see family.

I look around and think... "They have interstates... why hasn't EVERYONE left?". I'll never understand.

I live in Minnesota. Hopefully when I get my new (first) corvette in the next week or so it will be parked right next to my snow thrower. LOL

I agree with that, at least where I live... BUT I'd say adjusted for height, since most women are shorter than men. But yes, a lot are way heavier than my 162#, shorter than my 5' 9-1/2" or not. Even if I was single, I'd never date a fat chick, so a 424-lb limit would never be an issue for me.

I guess Vegas Dan doesn't ski. Although Vegas isn't that far from some of the best ski country in the world!

I prefer the Bay Are to Las Vegas. I lived in Las Vegas for 10+ years and the summers are hella hot. Too hot to drive with your top down.

I’m 225 and I’m the lightest of most of my buddies. I guess I probably should quit giving them rides, our fat asses are over.

I sadly take up more than half of that 435 all on my own - so no accomodation for skis. At least that my story and I'm sticking to it.

But other than being busted up from a youth playing football/ wrestling AND now being old, fat and uncoordinated...
I actually love Ski Country - when its hot in the valley; a nice top down romp thru the mountains is a blast.
Las Vegas affords the opportunity to snow ski and water ski in the same day if someone is so inclined.

But there is a HUGE difference between giggling blasting past the snow play area; top down - seat heater on high or having to park the Corvette for four months because your garage is drifted in and theres six inches of slush and salt on the roads.

NEVER too hot for the top to be down.
I've lived in Las Vegas since '94 and have rarely not had a convertible of some form - but then again I'm stupid and perpetually sunburned.

The Bay Area especially north of San Fran is beautiful; but I have never fallen in love with the area - I would live in San Diego (area) if finances allowed; but seling my "really nice" Las Vegas house would not even get me a two bedroom within smelling distance of the ocean; so until Powerball comes thru - I'm here.
I'll just burn a tank of premium every couple months and visit.

Load capacity on my motorcycle is about the same as my vette...lol...doesn't seem right.
edit: My KTM Superduke GT has nearly 70lb more load capacity.

Come on GM, that's not even realistic.
It would be if Americans would stop getting wider and fatter. Just look at the evolution of the C4 seat. They started as narrow with bolster and by 1996 were wider by removing the aggressive side bolsters. Since then Americans have continued to get fatter. Sad state of affairs.

When my wife ran the Chicago Marathon (40,000 runners) we went to the packet pickup. It was shocking to see hundreds of fit, thin people, and virtually no obese ones. It's not until you don't see the overweight people that you really realize how accustomed and blind to them we've become.

Browsing a local dealer and noticed this...

I wonder if low profile high performance tires have an upper weight limit driving this?

On the side walls of my OEM tires the max load for each of the fronts are 1,279lbs and 1709lbs for each of the rear, tires all together can support 5,976lbs.

Just guessing.

Now excuse me, I need to buy a Ferrari to haul me and 1,800 pounds of mulch.

OK, it's not tires... it was a theory.
