Help Me Find a Transmission Before I Die, Literally!

Burning Brakes
Any late 2023 and 2024 C8 that was shipped to Michigan or her at the Bowling Green production plant would have had the newer DCT with the new case. So, if the OP can't use a 2024 DCT, he can't use any of the DCTs replaced on these cars if that is indeed what happened.

Melting Slicks
If they already have the latest DCT why are they replacing them ??

I think they still have defective valve bodies, for what I remember reading. I was hoping a '24 would finally be DCT problem free, but that was wishful thinking. So I'm going to wait until more light is shed on what's happening with them. And still haven't driven the Jag F-Type and Lexus LC500, so not ready to make a final decision yet anyway. I was hoping GM quietly upgraded the valve bodies, but it doesn't appear to be the case. But still hopeful it was something less sinister, like just a bad batch of some part, so will keep an eye on threads like this one.

UPDATE: I received a phone call yesterday from the GM Resolution Dispute Team and they moved me to the top of the list and apparently the dealership received notification on Friday that the transmission has shipped Fedex and would be there by Monday morning 10:30; which in fact it was. After speaking with the service advisor yesterday, it was apparent that the reason they had not notified me was because they had no intention of now replacing the tranny in a timely manner. In fact, they had not even started yet, lol.
So, I was able to pull some strings and they are now planning on having the car back to me by Friday at the end of the day as long as everything goes smoothly.
I want to thank J.R. at Galles Chevrolet in Albuquerque, NM for making all this happen. I originally purchased the car from him and decided to give him a call last week in desperation to see if he could help. He is in management and has a lot of contacts and was able to get GM to expedite things. And he used to live in AZ and knows the GM at Freeway Chevrolet as well and was able to talk to him yesterday when it was obvious that their service advisor could care less and get things expedited on this end as well.
So, I am crossing my fingers and hoping that Friday is a reality.
