One thing you can be sure of: GM does not reveal its future product plans to salesmen, Especially not ones with vlogs and a history of having no filter. The only salesman who might have insight into future product is Mike Furman, and he's not going to violate anyone's confidence.

The point RKCRLR was making is that putting wider tires only on the rear would make the car handle worse, not better. And if they're going to put wider tires on both ends, they need wider fenders in front, too.

Man, ease up on Rick. He is a salesman and offers a quality service to his customers. I enjoy his videos, especially Tech Tuesday. Let him do his thing. If you do not like him, do not watch or provide negative comments on the Forum, there is enough negative on the Forum already.
Now, if you are still with me, and a GS fan from the C6 & C7, a C8 Grand Sport is coming. I base this on a conversation I had with Tadge at Carlisle this year. I pointed out that the new E-Ray was a GS with the addition of an electric motor in front, a battery in the tunnel, and 4-wheel drive. I noted that for customers that did want electrification, especially the extra weight and complexity, but wanted the wide body from the Z06 with the SR drive line, why not a C8 GS? Tadge said that Chevy would satisfy ALL customers during the C8 model run -- said with a big smile. Now, I took that as a C8 GS is in the works and my guess is it will come out as a model year 2026 since the ZR1 is the big event for 2025. Only time will tell, but I would rather have a C8 GS than an E-Ray.

Sorry, but I don't see it. Maybe at the end of the run in 2028. I think the only thing driving this GS desire is SR guys who don't want to look like every other SR, and are too cheap to buy a Z06. I mean, in previous generations--you had a legitimate case. The Z06 is harsh and not for GT. But now you have a GT option that is even quicker than a Z06 (and cheaper). GS does not compute for C8. Not unless GM is trying to squeeze the last bit of blood out of the turnip before C9. And if C9 ditches the ICE V8, there is precisely 0 need for a C8 GS.

So you're back to a 20k+ markup over base; 10k for widebody, 10k for brakes. And you're suggesting that people WOULDN'T just want another 160hp/125tq for just going the rest of the way to the E-Ray? That kind of power-adder with installation cost--will usually run you 15 grand easily--and this is 100% OEM stock.

Gee. That's great! Maybe their wheels will crack and/or bend like on the last GS. Wonderful!

Well, I wouldn't go that far. He is just trying to make a living. What I don't like is him lecturing people for asking questions about delays in the car orders. It makes his otherwise harmless vids irritating. Oh, and his use of sound effects is terrible!
The guy that really bothers me in the "Brink of Speed" guy. Him and his posse....having their own live broadcast on Tuesday nights....boring!

I have to agree except IF they did do a GS model between Stingray and Eray they would ditch the CS brakes. Even without the brakes you still need to add the cost of the wide body and hair dryer. A least $25K over a Stingray. Who knows, maybe GM thinks there is a big market for this but I would prefer they just make more Z06's instead so we can get rid of the stupid markups and make them more accessible at MSRP.
Everyone wanting more Z06s to be made seems to not understand that C8 Z06s are production-limited due to the engine. They can only produce so many of those hand built engines so fast.
The market is there for a GS. Some of us love the Z06 body but HATE the electric motor crap in the Eray, not least of all bc of the weight it adds.
If a Grand Sport was introduced with 85k base price I'd jump on it like stink on ****.

I disagree that the Z06 production is limited by the engine building. Each generation of Z06 has had a hand built engine, and if we remember 2016 saw over 14k Z06s produced.

I too would prefer a GS to an E-Ray, but I wouldn't read too much into your conversation with Tadge. Nor into anything Conti says about future product.
