Thought I Was Lucky Until Today
Took delivery of my 2023 coupe at the beginning of September. Car has 1,000 miles on it. Trouble-free until today.
Upon opening passenger door, noted chime ringing. Attempted to start car, but would not start. Display illuminated and showed following screens:
Low Battery
Service Power Steering System
Windshield Washer Fluid Low
Service Windshield Washer System
Service Theft Alarm
NOTE: Car is always attached to GM battery maintainer while parked in garage, and had been connected to maintainer for 10 days prior to problem.
Attempted to reset system by leaving door open 15 minutes and then closing. It was unsuccessful. Disconnected negative terminal of battery in an attempt to reset. Reconnected and attempted to start. Successfully started the car. Let car run a few minutes, and then shut down. Reconnected battery maintainer.
Attempted to start car later in the day in order to re-index windows. Would not start. Display showed same screens as noted above. Attempted battery disconnect again to reset, but it was unsuccessful. Reconnected battery cable and plugged in maintainer. After about 1 hour attempted to start car, and was successful. Let vehicle run about 30 minutes. Shutdown and attached battery maintainer.
We’ll see what happens next.

Sounds like a bad battery. Pull it out and go get it tested at the corner auto store. I had about the same experience years ago with a brand new C5.

These rolling computers are incredibly finicky about batteries; all modern cars are. The slightest variance in voltage or a single bad cell can cause issues like the OP describes.

Where are your pluging your battery tender into in your C8? Don't use the in cabin 12V receptacle. It goes dead after about 15 minutes after leaving the car and will not pass the charge to the battery. You must use the 12V receptacle in the Frunk. Also, make sure the charger is on (green light indicator). If you plug the charger into 120 V house current and do not plug it into the 12V receptacle soon thereafter, the charger basically shuts down. Plug in to the cars 12V receptacle (In the frunk) first, then plug into house current. I hope this helps.

LIkely a bad cell in the battery based on what you are running into. Most of the alarms you're seeing are based on low battery voltage. Had a battery going bad on our 2014 Silverado a few months ago, sometimes it would start fine, other times we would get Stabiltrack messages and it would barely crank over.
If you have a bad cell, charging it will usually let you get it started, and it might start 15 minutes later, but 2 hours later it might not. Bad cells in batteries do weird things.

Batteries are all over the ballpark. "New" doesn't necessarily make any difference. I've had two new ones I had to return... would not hold a charge. All the best.

First place to start is get the battery tested. Hopefully it will turn out to be something simple.

Where is the in-cabin receptacle? (Photos please? My car is a 2023). I have looked under the dashboard glove box for AC and USB connections to no avail.

My guess is a dead cell in the battery. Had many battery problems with my C6-C7 Corvettes. More on the C6, ate them like popcorn.

How about call your Chevy dealer and have them flatbed it in or at least take the battery to the dealer. The car is under warranty. Why would I go to Autozone when GM will still want to test the battery if suspect. It amazes me here how many don't invoke their warranty.....

As everyone figured, the battery was bad, and was replaced under warranty. I also felt the battery tender was bad, and asked for it to be replaced under warranty. Reason is the tender was hooked up for 10 days, and showed green lights the entire time. Even when I couldn't start the car, the tender would show green lights when hooked up. If the battery was bad, the green lights should not have been on. Dealer is going to test the tender. Regardless, I'm getting a portable battery jump box for future issues, just in case.

I have battery jumper in addition to various chargers and the the jumper has been helpful many time when the charger wouldn't do the trick. However, the jumper is helpful with a dead battery lacking charge, but if it as "bad" battery with a dead cell even the jumper won't do the trick in my past experience.
Although it is not perfect, I am very glad to have my jumper in addition to the chargers.

New battery’s will not be fully charged our battery tender may not fully charge battery. I have not taken the time to get to the battery yet. My first SS ate a battery put new battery in under warranty got home put on my battery charge took 5 hours to fully charge. My next three SS sedans were put on battery charger they all took about 5 hours to charger no more battery problems last SS battery lasted over 5 years.

These from Anti-Gravity come in various capacities and are 15% off right now. I have one that's about ten years old that won't start a vehicle any more but still works fine for powering a laptop or recharging phones.
