Official Cacti Green Color Thread

Burning Brakes
I am tired of people not being able to handle contradicting opinions. This is a discussion forum, is it not? People should be able to express their opinions of Cacti Green in the Cacti Green thread, positive, negative, or any where in between. Or do you really think we need a "safe space" for Cacti Green fans and this is it??

But on other general color threads where you knock Cacti, you're upset when I say your "Look at Me C8 Yellow" is something I would not buy and my C6 Yellow was much better. I have no issue on a Thread re color folks Saying they hate Cacti BUT I am not foolish to go on a Yellow Thread and say folks picking C8 Yellow are wrong! Their Choice. Will on a general color thread as I have:
And I don't just pick on Yellow, the C8 has some other "Look at Me" Colors. That's fine and if a small Miata might look OK BUT the C8 is a BIG CAR and the same colors don't fit a Maine Coon! But understand some folks like extremes! Nope no need for a safe space BUT be ready to a response you may not like!

Who was upset? I disagreed with you….nothing you could say could upset me because your opinion does not mean anything to me. I don’t know you…you are not my friend. You don’t know me. I’ll have conversations with you…I will agree with you and I will disagree with you. But I won’t waste any emotions if we do not see eyes to eye on something subjective.

Cacti Green? That's a great color for a Trax...or maybe for some sedan or even a truck.
The C8 looks stunning in Accelerate Yellow. The C8 is a sports car that deserves an exciting color that stands out. Accelerate Yellow shows off the lines of the C8 quite well. Cacti Green? Yawn....
You guys that label a color as screaming "look at me" are hilarious!! The whole frickin' C8 screams look at me and to suggest someone that gets a loud color is any different than you guys that pick more subdued colors is ridiculous!
My top three color choices are:
Accelerate Yellow Metallic
Rapid Blue
Amplify Orange Tintcoat
I like Torch Red too but there are just too many C8s in that color and it gives me the Ferrari wannabe vibe.

Guess I misunderstood your response to my posts on the Thread: "Why Not Have Unique Comments for a Corvette?

It is nice to have options. Having different colors is an option. While 51.9% (based on C8 Tracker for 2024) choose White, Red, or Black, the 48.1% of us choose from 10 other colors.
Is far as color options Cacti is still selling more than Silver Flare, Accelerate Yellow and Sea Wolf Gray.
Cacti is a color that is unique, like a lot of the colors over the years. Really if someone would give you a 1971 Corvette that is War Bonnet Yellow would you paint it something else?
Yes to each their own, but it is a Corvette and whatever color it is they are Great Cars.

Yep willing to consider other colors. When I modified my 260Z and had a body shop fiberglass the large rear spoiler I added and remove chrome, the owner convinced me to change from the flat Datsun brown. He suggested the Corvette Metallic Brown that was available in the mid '70's. Looked great and did not have to have the engine bay painted.
Thought the Jeus Bronze Metallic, that was available in 2021 (similar to the old Vette brown) was a neat color. Few others did, was low %.

Coming into a thread for people to show off a color, and then "discussing" how you don't like it? There are plenty of places other than an official color thread for you to be heard on this issue.

There have been such Threads I have seen since I joined in 2007. It's not to have a "safe place" it's so like minded folks can discuss their cars. Folks discuss interior colors and post pics etc. Not something new!
This is one from 2019 on Yellow C8's

Have not seen a C8 in that color yet, but the more I see the pics, the more I am coming around to liking the color.

Intollerand of any opinion that doesn’t validate their opinion.
To each their own I say. As long as you get enjoyment from it , that’s all that matters.
On the color I am starting to like it more and more. Interior color would be tricky for me. Personally would prefer a little darker tan color.

There is not a color on the planet someone will love and another will hate. It wouldn't matter to me whether a color I like is not liked by someone else. In fact, I would be shocked if everyone approved.
I like these color threads when members show it in pics even if I don't care for the color. Sometimes I come around when I see it in more scenes.

Yep there are many similar Threads re other colors. Folks wanting to see interior colors etc. There are also options like different wheels, hood strips and Jake logo rear fender strips i was considering folks want see. No reason to just post and say I don't like it etc.
Waiting for my E-Ray on order and @ 3000 to be built to take my own and post. Until then I look for pics others have taken and options.
My E-Ray color combo on order @3000.
Pic from GM website with Jake rear fender strip i considered and the question I still have to deal with side skirts only covering 3/4 length of rocker panels. In our rural area have many pebbles that are pulled onto the pavement and dig rockers up to front of rear wheel well. Installed splash guards on 3 Vettes, works behind rear wheels but still get dings further back on side rocker panels. Installed full length side skirts on my 2014 Z51, 2017 Grand Sport and C8 Z51 that solved the issue. Not a fan of PPF but may have a small section professionally installed after the side skirts.
