New 2024 C8
Good morning everyone its been a while. About 2 years ago I sold my 2019 Z06 for another vehicle. Now I’m back at it and definitely looking to get a new Z06 but due to all the mark ups and restraints I’d like to wait at least a year or two. I have an opportunity to pick up a new 2024 Z51 Stingray at MSRP it’s ready to go. I’m on the fence and wondering where the market will be in two years. I’m thinking major rebates on these cars. Any thoughts?

No one is guaranteed today or tomorrow let alone 2 years from now. If you have an opportunity to purchase now, go ahead and enjoy it now and don't worry about 2 years down the line.
I wouldn't hold out for major rebates either.

There really is no reason for it to go into major rebates in a year or two. Has the market cooled, absolutely, but now they are adding E-Ray into the mix and for every E-Ray and Z06 they make, there is that many less SRs. If you want to buy new, (depending on trim and options, super high optioned SRs won't hold their original MSRP) you won't lose too much at MSRP. In a year this car isn't going to turn into OMG distressed merchandise, it's just not. It's still a mid engine, super high performance sports car, that others are trying for the first time when normally they would have never considered a Corvette. If it falls out of bed, the car market on the whole will fall ahead of it, and if you look at Porsche pricing and others they have raised prices over 16% on cars that are already over six figures (percentage at that level is REAL money).

People are still on the list for Stingrays.....
they particular about their options. There is still a slight markup on Stingrays in our area. However, $210k with a certified warranty for a used z06 is outrageous. Get the Stingray and enjoy it for the time being.

The overall economic landscape "should" be drastically different (improved) by then -- after the 2024 election. Also, expect the Fed to have pivoted by then. Not only will the Fed ceased increasing rates, but I would expect some sort of economic easing to be in effect.
Lastly, the ZO6 will still be a highly desired, low-production vehicle, so don't expect any discounts on this car. If you added your name to the list now, it may take a few years to get it.

If the car is what you want in terms of color and options, go for it before someone else does.

I'm not sure if you're wondering about resale on a Z51 or discounts on a Z06. There are years long waiting lists for the Z06. It won't be discounted for years, if ever. If you're not already on a list, the only way you'll get a Z06 in the next few years is to pay ADM or buy a used one, also probably above MSRP.
If you're wondering about resale, the premium on used Stingrays is pretty much gone. They're not depreciating a lot, compared to most cars, but they are depreciating assets.

I’m on the fence now between a 2024 2lt Z51 with front lift NO mag ride for 4.5k UNDER MSRP. Or another car same spec WITH mag ride for MSRP.
The first deal seems better for my end game…
