Default Wind noise

I have a 23 HTC and I’m experiencing some wind noise when driving around 50 mph sounds like there’s a window open. I know it’s not Cadillac so just wondering if this normal.

Default sure as sure is

First, I'd check to make sure my rear window wasn't down an undetectable amount. Easy to hit the button on the door unintentionally. Second, buy some dilectric grease and lube the top gasket of the back window. Use an easy hand with it doesn't take much. Dozens of brand names. Easy to find at any Wal Mart, auto center, amazon.

We have a '24 HTC and previously had a '21 Coupe. Driving both cars with the top up we never heard any wind noise in either. With the top down on the HTC or roof off on the Coupe I think the wind noise level in the HTC is much better, so much so that we've cruised on the highway with the top down (side windows up) ... couldn't do that in the coupe. Even when at speed on the highway in the HTC with the top down or up (again, side windows up) and we lower the back window we don't find it makes a noticeable difference.

Default HTC Joints

Pat315,
Can you tell if it is front, left-side, rear, or right-side?
Can you capture the noise with your phone? On you PDR audio?
Could it be from under the dash?
I will bet it is one of the HTC joints? Does top panels look aligned?
It sucks to hear sounds you shouldn't!!

My 2024 HTC to nice and quiet. Better than my previous 2017 Grand Sport.
I have a whining sound that is getting better after 750 miles of use. When I first got the car, my wife and I were concerned with the louder whine noise. Probably for DCT-gears or differential-gears. I hope it stop completely!!

Good luck isolating where the noise is!
* maybe get a young person that has better hearing
* maybe a microphone that you can move to different areas inside.
* maybe point a leaf-blower at different areas
* I had a friend once that found a leak by turning climate fan to high and sprayed soapy water all around exterior areas and looked for bubbles.

I hope someone can come up with some better ideas.

Actually Krytox with Teflon is probably the best but a little rich for my blood:

I'll stick with SIL-Glyde.

Good suggestion to try lubricating the weatherstripping and see if the noise subsides. Easy to do and little cost involved.

is this brand not a petroleum based product? Is it silicone?

I too have had wind noise concerns by my head by the joint in the roof where the two convertible pieces meet.

I think my weather stripping is a little off to cause I have had a persistent moisture issue in my car for 2 years now where my steering wheel gets soaked with moisture

SIL-Glyde is silicone based. NAPA carries it under the NAPA brand.
