2024 Corvette went to Michigan for some unknown reason
Lovely. Chalk me up as one of these people. https://www.corvetteblogger.com/2023...dates-repairs/
I've been sniffing around about my car as it was produced on 10/12, finally got onstar activation today. Checked it. It should have gone from Kentucky to Texas, it's sitting in Pontiac Michigan and no one knows why. MM is trying to help me get an answer but I'm definitely... not thrilled.
It's paid for, wired the money and I have the MSO on my desk. Anyone else in this boat?

Happy ending for me, and since I am the OP I figured I would post up.
I woke up Friday determined to find a car local so I can check it out before buying, drive it off the lot and make sure no DCT issues, etc. Found a 24 in my spec somehow on a non-sold order maybe a backout. Right by my house within 3 hours of starting my search I was there. They PDI'd it and I drove it home. Super happy with it! Amazing car, can't wait to finish break in period haha
I cancelled the new order with MM (they had not placed it yet or given an allocation etc so no biggie) they were cool about it after everything that happened.
For anyone that is still waiting on a Michigan car, I am rooting for ya to get an explanation or some sort of compensation or both for the ridiculous way GM is handling this. Cheers all.

That sucks! How did you get Onstar activation? I tried today without success. Called and they said I had to hit the Onstar button in the car that I don’t have yet

Ok guys several years ago GM had problem with corvettes some were repaired in Nashville some in bowling green some were shipped to Michigan for repair. So this is not unusual.

Your luck sounds about like mine - if something can go wrong, it will and I’ll be a part of it. Hope you can get things straightened out and your car gets to the dealer soon.

I find it unbelievable that they make you pay for a car they still have in their possession. If that car gets damaged somewhere along the way will they claim you are the owner? Did you start your insurance on it already? I asked Mary Barra those questions when my car was held in QC purgatory. Suddenly the car was released the next day after her assistant contacted me. Try writing a note to her. Sam

GM is not only smart but has more ***** than a Chinese ping pong tournament. We should all rise and give them a standing ovation.

Given that its now known that GM is invoicing for cars that are not complete nor delivering them, I think its time for MM and other dealers to hold the demand for payment until such time that the car is actually in their control. IE delivered to MM or the NCM for customer delivery. Asking for payment for a car that is not complete nor delivered is no longer appropriate.
Also, there needs to be some quick communication to deal with the cars already paid for that GM is now doing what it feels like with rather than delivering. IE make significant restitution offers to the owners and a firm timeline or resend the deal with a path to make the owner that has been waiting for the car whole. Owners that have paid for the cars and not delivered have already been damaged and are entitled to recovery.
