2024 Corvette went to Michigan for some unknown reason

Totally agree. No money should be changing hands until GM ships the car to whomever delivers it and thus relinquishes control over it. Shipping the car elsewhere to repair or add accessories and invoicing the car prior to this work is .

Well, another day in the books, no call back from MM, no information, just ignoring me. Even in this thread the dude addressed me then ignored my response 1 minute later. Great operation guys!

I can imagine your frustration. I've been waiting for my car to be shipped going on 6 weeks. The MacMulkin team has been very helpful and fortunately I've been able to speak with them every time I've called.
I don't know why they would be avoiding you, I would think they would try everything to make this right for you up to and including refunding you your money.
Keep as calm as possible and try to speak with upper management to get this resolved, remember if your goal is to walk away from this, stay calm and work to get this done.

No MM has not been invoiced and the status is 3800.
As I previously stated my dealings with MM have been very good.
I think the best thing for you is to call them in the morning ask to speak with either the GM of the dealership or Mr Thompson.
Start fresh, I know you are upset but I think if you can state all your concerns and keep the conversation polite and ask them what are all the options available to you including walking away and total refund, you will get this squared away.
MM certainly does not want this situation anymore than you. I know one thing when conversations get really heated nothing good comes from it.
Good luck really sorry for your Corvette experience, at the end of the day it's only a car and I'm certain you will get it straighten out.

Thanks for the kind words. The good news is, this is just a car to me. I’ve had a lot of them over the years, and I don’t particularly need that money right now either although it does pay interest…so I am technically losing more money every day they sit on my cash and the car sits at the factory still (this is the crucial issue)
If I get a chance to have a fresh conversation with someone new soon I’d love that. I’m not gonna scream at them to start off a convo lol. I didn’t even call the store once until after my car was built 10/12. Deposits order etc I followed their process perfectly and didn’t ask a bunch of questions or how long it was gonna take etc. I only got pissed off when I realized I’d paid for the car, but it was not in transit to me as expected,

What concerned me the most when my car was in C8 purgatory was that since I owned it if a storm damaged it or somebody vandalized it sitting in a lot I would have to do the work to get it fixed and then I would have to pay for the repairs. It’s a good way to get a whole lot of costly inventory off of the books for GM so they aren’t responsible for it. That is just not right. Sam

Good help is harder than ever to find. When I was in the car business I was told the sale wasn't completed until the taillights crossed the curb. These problems may be covered in contract law. You paid for a product and it hasn't been delivered when paid for. What does your contract to purchase say???

2020 C6 of the Year Winner - Modified
I've ordered several cars and have never paid for them until they show up at the dealer, including one just last year. This invoicing the customer prior to the car arriving is just nonsense.

GM invoices the dealer once the car has shipped. I believe there is an advantage for the selling dealer to invoice (and get paid) for the car once it is invoiced so they get credit for a sold car and get another allocation. The GM allocation system incentivises this.

so have I, and neither have I. I only trusted the process frankly because of the reputation Macmulkin has on this forum and others.

I ordered and received 2ea. C8s from MM. After reading this thread I would not chance ordering a 3rd from MM.

How were your first two orders/deliveries? This appears to be a highly unusual experience for both the OP and MM. That said, reading many, if not all, of the comments on this forum and the other main corvette forum, there appear to be many (30+ Corvettes) that have been shipped to Michigan for unknown reasons (at least unknown to everyone but GM) and that these cars are being shipped without the knowledge of any of the Dealers (many of which are not MM). I truly feel for @c8dbo in that he has ~$100,000 of his money tied up in a product that neither he nor the Dealer have any idea where the car resides and for what reason it is missing.
There is PLENTY of blame to go around, mainly, in my opinion, to GM. They need to inform their client (MacMulkin) what is going on and why, so that MM can then inform their client, @c8dbo whom has fully paid for his car. There is NO reason or circumstance that I can think of for "Radio Silence" regardless of whether one has paid $5.00 or $5,000,000.00 for a product that they have yet to receive. I truly hope that this works out to the satisfaction of the OP and that he gets his money returned, the original car delivered to him (if that is acceptable), or, a priority replacement allocation of another C8. If @c8dbo has engaged an attorney, likely that attorney will tell his client to CEASE discussing this matter on social media and as such we may never know the final resolution to this particular order.
I hope that this ultimately gets resolved to everyone's satisfaction, especially, that of @c8dbo . Good luck, I will be following this thread closely.

This thread is freaking me out, I learned a while ago never trust a dealer to do the right thing on their own.
In march 2011 my dealer(same one I ordered my Vette from) had 2 left over 2010 HHR SS for 30% off msrp, one Black and one Crystal red tint coat. The black one was easy to get to so I test drove that one and decided to buy the red one. After the deal was over, I jumped in my sporty little wagon and headed for home......WTF! won't shift into 3rd, 4th or 5th gear. I turned around and talked to my sales guy, he walked me back to service and explained to the clueless service writer of my problem and he said he could get the car in a month!!!!! I flipped out, good thing it was "customer appreciation night", I walked though the showroom talking loudly to the sale manager on the other side of the room, I said "I am not a happy customer" in front of a crowd of people stuffing their faces with free pizza. The manager calmed me down, took me to the service manager and he got my brand new car in the shop Immediately and the lead tech had the shift linkage fixed in 30 min. From that point I learned not to pay for the car till I inspect and drive the vehicle. That was an intense day, but if I had not made a stink and forced the dealer to do the right thing, they just wouldn't give a fack.
