For ***** and giggles later I will go look at my car later. Looks like my pan and all that service mentioned was done at 7366 miles 6/22/23. I am at about 9900 miles now give or take. Curious what it says now.

I went with a friend to pick up his 2024 2 days ago, I told him of all the new features, some might not be of value to him but the new GM redesigned transmission case was for sure a step in the right direction. We drove 14 miles to his house and the trans failed, flatbed back to the dealership. Embarrassing at best we are still having active conversation on this subject after 4 years -

The transmission case casting was updated along with the pan. As far as I can tell the pan isn't interchangeable with earlier castings.

GM has stated that the changed casting didn't effect effect reliability or functionality. The engineers took the opportunity to revise the casting when suppliers were being changed to eliminate the requirement to add 2 additional quarts of fluid for tracking. All the internal components are the same.
