Strange Tire Pressure

Very true. For every 10 degrees temperature change you can expect 1-2 psi tire pressure change. Good idea to check your tire pressures at least monthly, especially as the seasons change. The TPMS sensors on my C8 are always within about 1 psi of what a reliable pressure gauge reads.

Glad you found the problem, I would recommend you buy a torque tool for the Schroeder valve. Many will say they have been doing this for years and it is not needed. I’ve been in the automotive business since the 70’s and would agree until I started using one while I was teaching HS Automotive Technology. With the TPMS systems I found 10 different teenagers gave 10 different torque values on the valve 🤣. It’s cheap and easy to insure the valve is properly seated.

Anyone have a link to a small 12v compressor to carry on the road? The more compact the better...

The Schrader tool didn't have such great reviews so I did some research. Lisle makes one, (more expensive), but made in U.S.A. and it looks like a better tool. I can't get the Amazon link to work but they had the best price at $21.74

I have a compressor in the Honda Insight that came with the car (no spare came with the car) but decided to order and
for the C8. If I never need it that's fine, just having it on long trips will make me not worry about a low tire like I did coming home last week. Putting the compressor in the C8 and forgetting about it is much easier than remembering to get the compressor out of the Insight before a trip.
