Loose oil fill cap
I changed my oil today on my 2021 c8. After I tightened down the oil fill cap all the way you can move up and down (side to side) about an eight on an inch. The cap seems to seat well but it appears not to be as tight as you would expect. Any one else see this problem? Is this a big deal. No oil leaking no check engine light.

I assume the cap has an o-ring. Could it have fallen out when you removed the cap?

On any car I have owned the oil cap secured tightly onto the engine. Can not understand why that would not be the same with a C8. Could be as described in post #2 or just a defective cap.
