Default Air Conditioning

Hats off to GM. I've had 6 corvettes and all have cooled well in hot weather; we've been in Florida and Arizona during the summer.

The C8 is a jewel. We are outside Chicago in Elburn Il where yesterday it was 95 and today 99 with high humidity; heat index around 115

Excellent job keeping the car comfortable without any issues😊

Hmmmm.... I think its just OK. Not bad, not great. Certainly adequate but nothing to write home about.

I had mine checked to see if it was operating correctly and the dealer said "yes".

Mine has been rock solid regardless of the ambient temp. Hottest I've driven in is 114F so far.

I've had no problem with AC cooling even here in So AZ where temps have been 110~115F all summer...My cabin actually gets downright cold at times, and I find need to reduce fan speed to low-medium and raise temps up to 75 so I don't freeze!

I've been tooling around right at 100* with transparent top and no complaints at all. However the C8 has a small passenger compartment and shouldn't be difficult to cool.

I'm with ya...we too are in Phoenix area and even on 115F days I have to turn it down as it gets too cold.

Mine will freeze you out of there even in 95-100 degree heat. I end up turning it up to 73 or 74 after a few minutes…..

I will extend the compliment to the cooled seats. Was driving up yesterday and didn’t have the seats on. Decided to turn them on when the sun started beating through the front windshield and it was NOTABLY cooler instantly. Had on athleisure wear so it was really noticeable through the pants.

Not to trample on your post as you added good info, however just for clarity, the seats are not cooled, but just ventilated. If you direct your cooled air to floor area it feels like the seats are cooled.

I had mine checked at the dealer. He said it was dumping 40 degree air at the vents. I take that as the benchmark so if you go to a dealer ask them what the output is.

On a related issue, when I drove thru the Arizona desert 110 I was impressed with the engine temperatures. I run the grill guards, have door screen sandwiched against them and even have a novi stretch bra on the front end. Ran 170s to low 180s. Gm certainly made up for the c7 short fall cooling issues.

Yeah I know that - I probably should have clarified, that you can really feel the difference when you already have the cabin cooled and you turn them on.
