Default C8’s are still rare - only saw 1 in 2 hours/120 miles

Helped my son move back to college this afternoon so I followed behind him in my Jeep about 120 miles and 2 hours up the Florida Turnpike and I-75 from Orlando to Gainesville. Just for ***** and giggles I decided to count Corvettes and I only spotted two, both yellow - one was a Millennium Yellow C5 vert headed in the opposite direction. Just as I was getting ready to exit off I-75 in Gainesville I got passed by an Accelerate Yellow C8.R special edition #3 which looked totally “lit” as the youngsters like to say I probably had several thousand cars go by me during the roughly 2 hour trip and I was expecting to see at least a half dozen C8’s and an equal number of Corvettes from the other generations so I was kind of surprised to only see one C8 and I came within about a half mile of not even seeing that one. I should mention it was a bit drizzly out so perhaps that kept all the Corvettes at home.

I see them every day, usually a few. Saw one today while driving 8 miles. Common cars here.

I rarely see C8's around town unless I am going to a specific Corvette event.

I recently took a more than 5,000 mile road trip and saw THREE. Two of them were in large cities, the last one was near a city. Not a single one on any of the highways...

I just got home from a 5 hour trip myself. Started North of Knoxville, and I live about 1.5 hrs south of ATL. Saw one white C8 coupe while coming through ATL. Most I’ve ever seen on my regular trip is 3, and they were obviously together as they were all in a line in ATL. I also saw a McClaren today… C8’s are still a rare sight…

I live in Florida except for car shows I hardly see any. I recently took a state wide roadtrip from Southwest Florida through Orlando up to St Augustine then down to Palm Coast, Daytona, to Palm Beach to Fort Lauderdale then back to SWF. Saw ONE maybe two the entire 8 days! Given the population and weather here in Florida I would have thought I’d see hundreds at least a hundred if not more.

From the NCM, we saw one in 1500 miles. Still fairly rare.

I still don’t see too many, but when I do it still makes me smile.

while I wouldn’t buy one, I love seeing a yellow one that’s around here. Great color.

GM has built over 50,000 2023's alone. They're not rare.

Yeah there’s a guy just down the road from me who I drive by almost every day and he has about a dozen Corvettes - probably half of them are C8’s - he literally has them stacked up in his garage on lifts So I should probably amend the title of this thread to read:

C8’s are still somewhat rare to see on the road - only saw 1 in 2 hours/120 miles

Sometimes it is a long period of time before spotting a C8. Same can be said for a number of the Corvette generations.

Spotted this C8 on the same street as my parents' house in the midst of today's historical tropical storm (barely downgraded from a hurricane) in San Diego. I visit my parents every weekend and use their address where I grew up as my permanent address (because I've moved across states multiple times) and as the address for financing my C8. So technically this same residential road has two C8s including mine, both MY23. Also when I was working on my C8 last weekend, my dad's coffee shop buddy stopped by with his 70th Anniversary Edition (forgot to take pics) so this same street has seen 3 C8s in a week, two of them parked on the same driveway.

Most people don't often drive their C8 because they don't want it to get dirty. Did you ever see what a single puddle of muddy water could do to the suspension?....yuck.
