C8 Dipped Adrenaline Red Interior Makeover
I’ve had my C8 (Z51 HTC) for about 2 months now and just finished my interior makeover. Here’s a list of my upgrades and some pics:
•Carbon fiber door handle trim covers
•Carbon fiber dashboard trim covers
•Carbon fiber lower door trim covers
•Carbon fiber waterfall trim cover
•Carbon fiber center console replacement (not trim cover)
•Carbon fiber steering wheel with red/red leather and leather center marker
•Red airbag replacement cover
•Red leather premium floor mats
•Ambient lighting kit
•Carlinkit Android 13.0 CarPlay Ai box (this gives you full android access on your factory screen)
•Bluetooth wireless keyboard (it’s not necessary but it makes it easier for the passenger to type)
Night time view
Ambient lighting in the light
The lights are in the A pillars, on the trim, in the door cards, and in the footwell
The lights turn on when I start the engine. I can control them with my phone or the android Carlinkit AI box. This box plugs directly into the usb port in the armrest, it’s plug and play and displays everything through the factory CarPlay app.
This looks great in person but not so great on camera
This also looks great in person but I have to turn down the brightness at night because it’s too bright and pretty distracting.
I really love the floor mats, it makes the car feel much more luxurious and the factory floor mats got dirty really easily. I only have 2000 miles on the car, I wash the car 1-2 per week and the floor mats always looked gross. I replaced them after 1200 miles.
This looks a lot better in person than the pics show
I don’t actually use this mode but wanted to show that you can have independent color settings. I can change the color for each zone. So the floor doesn’t have to be the same color as the dash, and there can be multiple colors on the dash and doors at the same time. I post a lot of videos on my IG so if you want to see more, feel free to take a look: _Car_Ideas
I’m considering selling the carbon fiber waterfall cover, I’m on the fence about. I had considered buying the top part but the red trim would still show under the silver speaker so I decided not to.
The carbon trim all came from Jogon, but I wouldn’t recommend them. None of the trim pieces fit perfectly and you can see gaps on all the sides. I’m planning on upgrading to actual replacement parts from eApsisUSA (they sold me my red air bag). Btw the center console is NOT a trim cover, it is a replacement part that came from WestCoastCorvette)
This is how the lights look when they’re turned off, they’re not noticeable at all in person.
The center marker on my steering wheel is actually leather. I know most have some type of red inside the carbon, I like that too but I wanted all my colors and textures to match. That’s why I got a red airbag, there’s no black leather in my car so visually it doesn’t make sense to have a black leather air bag.
This is a side by side comparison between the original black one and the new red one.
There is a slight error in the stitching where it curves in but honestly it’s not noticeable at all, especially once it’s installed.

[QUOTE=Jcgreen;1606951247]
here are some close up pics (I didn’t install this myself, I went to a car audio shop, it cost $300 and he got it done in a few hours
The adhesive that the installer used started to fail so I used 3m adhesive, that’s why you can see the slight gap there but it’s only visible from below, you’re not able to see it from the driver or passenger seat or from standing outside the car.
Under the screen
Footwell lighting
These lights are inside the door pockets
Passenger side wall strip
Passenger side dashboard

Why do you not recommend the Jogon parts, fitment issues?

Thanks man! I ordered the car with the with the CF interior package and the Stealth interior package, I chose not to cover any of the factory "stealth" parts but I dont think it looks bad that they're not cf. I definitely lucky with the install price, it was a local guy with a small shop that was excited to work on the car. He actually had a C6 that he did an insane amount of work to so maybe I got the corvette discount haha

Correct, none of the parts I got from them fit will and the adhesive tape that they use is terrible so you'll need to use your own. I absolutely regret ordering from them, the seller blocked me on eBay and stopped responding to my messages.

I just totaled it up and it was around $4800. That's not including shipping but it is including the labor for the ambient lighting kit installation.
