Dealer selling below MSRP
I'm guessing we will see dealers start selling below MSRP around March 2024 based on current production and sales trends.
When do you think below MSRP will begin?
Will GM significantly reduce Stingray production % and increase Z06 % numbers? (this could cause Stingray to remain at MSRP)

^^^^ this is the result of putting in free crack pipe vending machines. That and an inability to staff open positions across the country.

You left out the E-Ray. I would think the gross margin on the Z06 and E-Ray are significantly higher than the Stingray, provoking Chevrolet to build as many of these as they can, mix-wise. Just look at the ZO6 ADM. My sense you will not see discounts until late 2025, absent a recession in the USA.

Definitely No Chance of that happening in Canada for a very longtime due to only 3-4% of production coming to us. The big dealers in Ontario, Canada still have over 100 on the waiting lists. I was on a list for 2 years and finally got my car in June....

Yeah I'm also sensing that could be the reason they stay at MSRP for longer assuming total # of C8's produced ( total of all variants) stays the same. They would lower Stingray production #'s and bump up Z and E.

Anyone still waiting for prices on new C8s to go below MSRP already missed the boat.
Even if prices ever dip a bit below MSRP, they will still be higher than the MSRP on a 2020 - 2022.

My 23’s MSRP came in at $101K when I ordered. The price increase was about 2/3 weeks later and when I received my order 2 months after, the sticker was $105K. MacMulkin honored the original MSRP. That and GM points saved me $6K off of the MSRP. MM is king!

When MacMulkin and Ciocca no longer have a 6 to 10 month wait list and they have new cars on the lot is when you will see discounts. I don't see that happening soon, however I see the possibility down the road as the wait list time is now shrinking slightly for the first time.

I concur with @golddog
The current four-year contract with factory workers represented by the United Auto Workers union expires in September. Remember that the 2019 UAW strike cost GM an estimated $3.6 billion in lost vehicle production and parts sales which included the Corvette.

Dealers will sell below MSRP when
1. GM offers them incentives to move c8 Corvettes
Or
2. The dealership has c8 Corvettes sitting on the lot do long it's costing them finance charges on them
I doubt either one is going to happen anytime soon

C8 Stingray demand remains high even though at the end of 4th production year and most dealers are still asking and getting over MSRP. Both Z06 and soon Eray production will be reducing Stingray production substantially. This along with the fact that many either don't want or can't afford a Z06 or Eray will insure that Stingray values will remain STRONG for the foreseeable future.

My local dealer (who’s in the Top 40 largest Corvette dealers), has been selling C8’s for $500 under MSRP since day #1. Plus, I had $2K in GM points so my 2020 C8 was $2,500 under MSRP. The only catch is they only sell to buyers living in the Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island tri-state area.
