Simply seems to be "lucka-da-draw." There is nothing you can do before you get your car and it occurs, if it does. Just like with C7s. GM just doesn't learn... nor car..

Any members who have C8's may want to look into this service bulletin, Tsb #20-NA-124
It has to do with paint chipping up near the headlights and some owners have gottten the 'ok' from GM to have it fixed

Default Neighbors2023 has it
My neighbors 2023 has the issue mine does not. His is from June 2023 mine July 2022, go figure . Shame this issue not QC better at BG

A few days ago I checked my right headlight and I have a small chip forming. So now both headlights have paint chips near them.
