Default 3 OTA Updates

FYI I had not ever received the update for the cell phone reminder or the fix for the 0-60 performance timer. I made an appointment with the dealer for 7/12. The service advisor stated that there were not TSB's or Recall's showing up for my 2021 C8. I even showed him a copy of the original TSB for the cell phone 22-NA-043. I told him to have the Tech plug it in and check for these updates after all this is what I made the appointment for in the first place. The manager stepped in and told him to write it up and send it into the shop. That's what I asked for in the first place. He finally did and guess what? The Tech was able to install the OTA update for the cell phone reminder, 22-NA-043, and after contacting GM was able to install the OTA for the 0-60 performance timer. Now it works as the manual says it should. The cause was noted as "SOFTWARE ANOMALY IN INSTRUMENT CLUSTER" "corrected by Instrument Cluster Reprogramming with SPS"
Both updates a working just fine now.

Received an update today which, i just installed without any problems. Took less then 15 minutes and I stayed in the car while it installed. The number for the update is N23-241010 described as “Updates made to the overall software update process”.

I have a bunch of weird "bugs", I keep hoping OTA's will fix them and I rarely receive OTA's.
I finally received an OTA 2 days ago and all it said was the OTA is needed to receive future updates, meanwhile others are getting N23-series updates that are making corrections to TCM, BCM, etc etc.
I have a glitch with my DIC display where it has a 0.5cm square block that just spews random graphics gibberish.
I also have an intermittent issue with my front cameras when the infotainment display is switched to showing the cameras there is a rainbow color shifting block that is rendered on the display and looks like it is always rendered in the same position. Not causing anything other than a cosmetic issue, but looks buggy regardless.

I know this is the Stingray forum, but when I checked yesterday my Jan. 21, 2023 Z06 still has no updates pending.

Default N23-241010 update keeps failing until...

Facts;
2022 3lt Z51 coupe
Parked in garage with good wifi signal.
Always on battery tender.
Several updates prior to this one never had any issues.
Failed numerous times, different days, several drives etc.
Tried 90 sec door opened to clear cache.
Nothing worked.
The c8 always connects to the Home wifi first if avaliable.

Solution or at least a verified change that appeared work.
I turned off my new Samsung A54 phone tried the update and it worked perfectly.

Any guesses as to why?

I have a question. I received a message on my Infotainment screen today. I have a 2021 C8. Message states it will take one hour to complete the update. I pressed the not now option. Am I supposed to leave the ignition ON for this update to complete?

No. And if the car is running it will tell you to turn it off.

I found this video helpful. As the video points out after you select install do not open the door until the screen says it’s OK to exit/open the door. If you do it will terminate the update and you’ll receive a fail to update message.

Thank you RKCRLR
and thank you Maxie2
When it comes to IT on a car much less a PC I'm afraid my IT gal is no longer here to help me.
I love my C8 never the less. So do a lot of strangers I meet on the road or beside me at a Stop light.

I have no idea what the update was for my 2022 HTC, but I did it today in the driveway with my battery charger plugged in. Took 15 minutes.

Second Update of N23-241010

Same situation as the original update with the same number,. except it never did update after many, many attempts.
UPDATE selection is grayed out. Cannot install the update.
Car is at the dealer now. Was hoping a quick direct update would resolve the issue. Tech could not resolve the issue and is getting help from Chevrolet.
Stay tuned...

Last update: fixed
Dealership had the car for 24hrs.
Working with Chevrolet and after many attempts to resolve finally had to reset a few modules.
They were able to install the latest GM23-241010 and the UPDATE selection is no longer grayed out.
Upon more detailed information, Chevrolet had to delete the 2nd GM23-241010 update that downloaded but uninstalled. Then the dealership was able to install the update with no errors.
Seems fine now, hope it lasts.

Is there a place that GM posts the detail on each OTA and what cars it applies to?

My 2021 got one update when it was new, but that bricked the car. My car has received zero OTA updates since that issue. I did got the phone left in charger update by visiting the dealer and having them manually do the update. I have no idea what updates I should have since my car appears to be flagged to get no more OTAs.

I am sure there isn't one site where all updates pushed via OTA for all GM cars are archived. Still, if you have the Chevy app on your smartphone, which I highly recommend you put on your phone and link your vehicle to it; if you don't, all you have to do to know what updates were applied is go to Vehicle Status>Vehicle Updates (at the bottom of Vehicle Status page)>View Install History. You can see what updates were applied to your vehicle.

Forget my previous post (left for those needing the information). You must go to your dealership and see what OTA updates you are missing and might need.

I check the MyChevy app on my phone all the time, and it works well. However, I do not have a "vehicle updates" category on the page under "diagnostics." Moreover, I can't find anything in the app menu that shows me that.

Any ideas?

See post #14. You can view the history of OTA updates applied to your vehicle through the app.

Thanks, I am aware that I can do it in the car, and have always been checking them that way. My post was a question about why it's not in the MyChevy app on my phone, as depicted in post #8.

"Vehicle Updates" is not in the "Vehicle Status" menu on the app on my phone. The area under "Diagnostics" is blank unlike in the post #8 picture.

The pathway I described in post #14 is the same as what is depicted in post #8 on the MyChevy app.

Vehicle Status>Vehicle Updates (at the bottom of the Vehicle Status page)>View Install History.

And I keep trying to tell you there is no "Vehicle Updates" selection under the "Vehicle Status" menu on the MyChevy app on my phone.

The area under "Diagnostics" is blank.

My original question was about, "why is it not there?"
