New member want to buy a new 2024 1LT
I am a new member to the forum, a resident of Houston, Texas. I am interested to purchase a 2024 Stingray 1LT, the basic entry level corvette. Tried to understand the buying process by doing a factory order. My local dealer says that it is $3000 more than MSRP and it will be available in three to four months. I see that multiple dealers outside Texas are advertising to sell it with MSRP. There are so many conflicting messages in different forums that I am totally lost. Do I have to pay $3K more than the MSRP for the simple entry level 1LT? Will they really deliver within four (6 months is fine)? Is the dealer going to charge more when the car is available for delivery? I will really appreciate if you guys can guide me in the buying process (close to the MSRP cost) of an Stingray 1LT.

Give me a call at 609-344-2100 ext. 1013, I can help in getting you a car built to your spec. We sell at MSRP, and you have options on how you wish to take delivery.
Thanks

I did speak with Jeff. Seems to be nice genuine person. Just wanted to know if anyone else has done transaction with this dealership. Me being in Texas and the dealership is in NJ, I want to do due diligence before diving in.

Carl, Thank you for giving feedback, I am little surprised that there is not many comments on my request. Am I doing something wrong? Is this question in a wrong discussion group? I am a newbie, so not very familiar with the forum and its etiquettes. I really need some guidance to purchase my first corvette.

Thank you. The main concern is this. I called few Chevy dealers around Houston. Some of them are charging more than MSRP, some are at MSRP but are going to take a year or two to deliver! I am just looking for an entry level Corvette. Jeff is from Ciocca in NJ was the best; he can get it delivered within 6 to 7 months at MSRP! If he can, it will be perfect for me. But is that possible? Does Ciocca dealership get more allocation than local Houston dealers? I just don't want to be surprised. What is the realistic expectation of delivery from the day of deposit?

…useful tool to see how many cars dealers have received over the past year. I’ve been on Criswell’s list since 9/22 also only wanting a base 1LT. I found a local dealer willing to sell at MSRP as well, but they told me that they get about 2 allocations per month, I got on their list as well because they said they could get me a ‘23, but after months of no allocations available, I actually looked them up and found out they sorta exaggerated the truth a bit. They’ve gotten a total of 11 ‘23 C8’s…that’s NOT an average of 2 per month…I stayed on Criswell’s list and expect to get my allocation in 2-4 months…

just to clear it up, as their name signifies their dealership is a platinum supporting sponsor of this forum. This forum goes out of their way to provide as safe and responsible of a marketplace to buy and sell corvettes, parts, etc. They would not let a dealership who is blatantly lying or ripping off customers to be a sponsor. If they say 6 months they mean 6 months barring production shut downs, parts shortages that if are must have may delay your production.

-$995 if you want the transparent top instead of the painted top.
-$1995 if you want both painted & transparent tops.
….or, I just paid $1850 shipped from an online GM parts site with NO sales tax, so doing it that way saved me about $300 over ordering it with the car…

I personally got my corvette from a family friend who owns a Chevy dealership in NJ but went do to them in AC beforehand and they were super helpful and great to talk to.

Yeah the Ciccoia Dealer in NJ is the best and reliable. They by far get the most allocations out of any dealer (at least 100+ a month usually) so they are reliable and I’d assume most of their business is out of state. They get the car delivered to your local dealer

Wishing you all the luck but I'd get a 2LT /Z-51 if you can, there are some good options and features that make this a wonderful car.
Enjoy the ride and if you can do the R8C, it is the ultimate experience (NCM delivery)
