C8 GT1 Bucket Seat Comfort
I have a 2023 Stingray Convertible with the standard GT1 bucket seats. Both my wife and I (driver and passenger) are having a difficult time getting comfortable seat settings - both of us are experiencing numbness / discomfort in the inside leg. We don't have this issue in any of our other cars, including our C6. 2 questions for other C8 owners who have encountered this:
1. Did you find a particular seat setting combination that helped?
2. Did you find a seat cushion that helped if unable to find a setting combination that helped?
Thanks!!!

Even after owning three c8 Corvettes with gt1 seats and a ton of seat time in both gt2 and competition seats I'm still amazed how GM finally got their seats right.
They provide a wholly adequate amount of lateral support while also being extremely comfortable on 10 hour per day road trips.
Seating position is going to be HIGHLY subjective and variable for personal preference and a persons own body proprioceptics but the seats themselves do have the ergonomics and adjustment to be extremely effective for me.

Mine are really comfortable except for side bolsters. I’m pretty wide in the shoulders so I’m sure that’s why. I can adjust the lumbar and side bolsters some to help. My biggest problem was the damn seatbelt opening. The belt always popped out and was around my neck. I fixed this with clips off the internet and I’m able to be comfortable now. Not sure why you’re getting numbness in your legs, the bottom seems really comfy to us. My gf likes seats better than a C5.

The GT1 seats have different functions based on 1LT, 2LT2 but if you are 2LT there are Lumbar adjustments.
The upper an lower button adjust side bolster and you want those open.

Most comfortable for my body type. 5'9-185 athlete build. Others were tight across the upper shoulder area.

Bucket seats were derived from racing cars. The idea is to hold you in place and defy G forces. They also look cool. However, from a comfort perspective for longer drives, I would take a 1960s bench seat with the huge lumbar support and with no ridges keeping me from moving. For short drives, the buckets are fine. If you have a large derrière, you are in trouble.

You both have body mechanic issues with the C8 corvette seats. Order 2 of these and see if it stops the issues, you will be a little higher in the seat. You will still have to adjust the seats with the cushion in place, you will know if it helps in a few minutes. You will have to put seat position in memory once figured out or do not change once you get it. Are you saying driver right leg and passenger left leg experiencing numbness / discomfort in the inside leg Etc? If either one of you are driving and the other one is the passenger does the same thing happen? So if both in car in either way. How long do issues go away once you exit C8?

Thanks Sunwarrior, I think you're spot on. Ironically, my wife just received a cushion just like the link you provided and will try it during a quick trip we'll take this week. While she's driven the car, I'm the primary driver (90+%), so we really haven't tried reversing seat positions. We've decided body mechanics is definitely the issue. Our friends joke that neither one of us have a butt!!! Very limited padding down there It's worse for my wife than for me and I think the cushion will work well. I'm 6'1" 180 lbs and a cushion raises the seat (even at it's lowest setting) too tall for me with the low roof, but as versatile as the 2LT GT1 seats are I'm confident I'll be able to find a setting combination that works. Thanks to everyone!!!!!

It took me well over a year to find a way to make mine comfortable. I even considered selling the car because I just couldn't get it right. I'm 5.6" 160 lbs. .. The lumbar always hit me in the wrong spot. The seats were OK for short drives but when using the car for 3+ hours I would always ache. . I tried a seating pad to raise me up in relation to the seat back. .. Didn't help. I copied the angles from my Recaro seats in another car. . It won't go that far (tilt forward). I tried closing my eyes and setting it up as my living room chair would feel. Didn't help, I used both buttons setting up a "driver's" position and a "cruising" postion and would swop back and forth. ... That started to give me some relief. Using that technique I slowly slowly started to dial in my settings...... I took some 1/16" thick padding (under carpet rubber, vented) and cut pieces to fit that last seating pad next to the seat back. I made 10 of them so that I could adjust that up to 1 1/4" to better set the curve of my back to the lumbar. ... I kept using both buttons to swop.... I FINALLY got it very close and have since been able to remove the padding. I took an all day trip this Sunday and when I got out of the car I didn't hurt. .. .. This month will be 2 years of ownership and 15,000+ miles and only in past couple of months has it been OK....
Oh, all this includes adjusting the lumbar and side bolsters which don't change with the saved settings. ..
Don't give up, There is enough adjustment (except forward tilt) that you should be able to find at least one comfortable setting.

No issues with the seats in my 1LT...they are the most comfortable and best fitting seats that I've had in any car I've owned to date. For that reason alone though, I can understand how others might find them uncomfortable. The C8 is perfectly ergonomic FOR ME, which means it's likely not that way for someone else.

My GT1 seats were super comfortable and had them set to Driver 1 for the past 2 years. The other day I moved the seats all the way forward to vacuum out the back. Wow is it clean now. Pressed the Driver 1 button and it didn't go back to what it was originally set to and the mirrors were messed up. I had to try to set it up again and ughhhh now I can't find that sweet spot. I have to keep playing with it. I think it's the Lumbar controls that are making it uncomfortable. I feel like John Candy in Planes, Trains and Automobiles.
I have a 3LT btw.
