For the Frunk pull down unit it would only require a positive and negative connection to operate but the impossible part would be that it integrates with the EMC to activate warning message and prevent drivability if ajar.

Safety Car
Do you all think a video would help on how to close the frunk?
I just lightly close mine then push on the area above the latch and it locks shut.

I think the issue is that people know how to close it but they don’t want to get hand prints on the front of the car. Obviously some people care more than others. I would love to have that feature on my car, but I don’t really stress about it. Others are more picky.

...and, I bet we just can't wait for the autonomous driving version, too!
(but, no, not "addable" since it would have to integrate with the computer, et al.)

Maybe there are aftermarket products that will do soft close on the doors. That's not a feature on any Corvette from the factory. Adding the 2024 soft-close feature to an earlier C8 will be very difficult, if not impossible. The soft close feature isn't a simple on/off switch, it's controlled by the BCM, and earlier C8s won't have the software to operate the system even if you install all the parts.
To prevent fingerprints, just carry a handkerchief with you to put between your hand and the paint.

Tesla soft close door latches might work...they work on a McLaren.
