Default Depressed in Texas : Anyone waiting longer than me from Criswell?

Had request for routine c8 in January 2022, from Criswell Chev. Mike Furman keeps saying backlogs, curious if anyone else has been waiting this long? Appears I now have to wait for 2024's.
Thanks just depressed this evening. unfortunately put all my eggs with Mike, didn't spread it around, my fault.

Get on MacMulkins list today. You will probably get your car faster. There is zero communication from Mike on which “folder” he is currently on. MacMulkin is great on communicating. Cut your losses. The price goes up every model year.

I will assume 'depressed" is a bit of hyperbole. LOL Some Dec 2021 deposits got allocations.....if they were willing to accept the constraint on non-Z51s. Others may have not had that constraint, but at least some did.

It's not all bad. You will get one model year newer car with the new features. Mine didn't come from Criswell, but it took 22 months to come in. I will say it is worth the wait.

A few more months wait will be forgotten once you get it and start enjoying it. Just a temporary short term blip.

17 months? That seems ridiculous. I got on my small local dealers list in November 21 and picked it up 10 moths later. I could’ve ordered a 23 if I wanted one and had it in my garage now.
Maybe I’m misunderstanding this post because I find it hard to believe.

Your experience is NOT indicative of the entirety of the C8 purchasing world.

YES, there is opportunity to find small local dealers who have an available allocation from TIME TO TIME. Which you found!

Some others try to get in with one of the Top 5 dealers in the country and get a car for MSRP. As of RIGHT now Criswell is #3 and their orders are up to 18 months depending on desires of the Customer. Average is about 16 months over the last two years.

There are many factors why.

IF I were buying again today. I would go with MacMulkin or Ciocca and do a Museum Delivery IF I wanted a car ASAP as they are looking at 4-6 month waits for allocation.

If I was not in a hurry, Id go through Criswell, again.

Nothing ridiculous about it.

That is a long time to wait for a car to be built and delivered and not over yet.

My dealer called me, saying, "We've got an allocation for a C8, you want one?" I said, "Yes." 64 days later I dove my car home.

I can’t answer your question about Mike, but I did something similar as I put all my eggs in one basket with Rick Conti not knowing how much of a crooked salesman he is. It was my first ordered car ever and he’s local, but I waited over a year with him, actually probably still on his list (2.5 years). Ended up going through MM, but in your case you have to be close as Mike seems like a straight shooter. Can he give you an approximate allocation date? I would call and explain how you feel and see if he can estimate a date for you. As others have said, waiting is difficult but the car is so worth the wait. I ended up waiting 23 months overall before delivery. Hang in there!

Jan 2022 deposit here too, I was quite hoping to get my email this month as there is nothing that excites me about getting a 24 model. All the 24 model was for me is a car thats gonna cost me more that will have a bunch of "options" I dont want.

After 17 months I got my deposit back. To be fair, I had just gotten an email from my salesman telling me I was number 4 for June allocations but I had already gone 3000 with another dealer.

I know Criswell has a great reputation but they just take too long. I’d strongly recommend calling around to small dealers. Doesn’t matter if they only get 1 allocation a month if you are number one on the list.

Ya'all are nuts still waiting a year and a half or whatever. You know you could just call Macmulkin, right?

What is bad about Criswell is that you have no idea what number you are in line of the wait list, nor will they tell you. Call MM to confirm, but I believe their wait list is down to 4-6 months. You should have had the car already in my opinion.

I've had my Criswell Vette a month now. It was 18 mos from going on list to delivery. They told me 12-14 mos to place order and it was 15. I went with Criswell as I bought my C7 from them and they executed all ends excellently. MacMulken is quoting 4-6 mos and appears the execute well too.
