Very impressive. I thought putting a C3 all back together was a big deal. Not now. Nothing like the complexity here.
Someone should put your photos up for view at the Bowling Green factory. I bet some of the assembly line workers would be interested to look. They'd really appreciate the learning and skills required to put this car back together.

I don't have more than a thimble size amount of talent compared to you yours.
I also can't find the words to express how much I admire your fantastic work. Just amazing.
GM should award you with a dealership. You could train all of their mechanics.
Well done. You certainly don't need to worry about anything going wrong with it.
Many years and miles of smiles for you!
Awsome

Thanks so much for posting all the pics in repairing your C8. Great Stuff!
It was very encouraging to see a skilled owner rebuild so much of the car. While I hope that mine will never be scratched, at least I know I can fix it.
I respect how much work and hours the job took......Bravo! Terry

Really amazing work! You clearly are a patient and very skilled craftsman.
I am a bit puzzled about how the owner was able to have it totaled, presumably taking an insurance payment for that, and then keeping the car to sell it to you.
I think I understand how the car kept a clean title under a technicality because you didn't buy it from a salvage company, which would have had to issue a salvage title for liability reasons.

How many man hours all told (including time spent researching for parts) would you say you spent on it? From your total $s spent on it, plus your time, how much profit would you say that you could make?

Bought an extra set of wheels and put some all seasons on for a 4k mile road trip that we will be passing over Beartooth Pass to the West. I've seen snow can happen every month on the Beartooth Highway.

So, quick question that I think I know the answer to: did you have to perform the valve flush operation on this DCT like we've discussing elsewhere? (I think the answer is "No").
Have a good one,

Awesome Rebuild!!!
Do you have any photos of the rear lift gate hinges? I'm trying to adjust the lift gate to the quarter panel and not having much success. The hinge is slotted where it bolts onto the lift gate but I can't seem to move the lift gate up even though the bolts are at the bottom of the slot.
