Hi guys. I haven’t posted in a while but had a question to throw at you.
I use the Apple iPhone through CarPlay on the Infotainment system. The Infotainment system limits the apps available to the screen. Has anyone had any luck getting a weather app to show up in the Infotainment system?

My 2023 came with Weather Channel pre loaded.

App developers need to do certain things to get available in CarPlay. For instance, Chevron app now can be shown in CarPlay while the other gas app like Shell cannot.

I don’t think Apple will let any weather app display the weather radar though. I think weather radar overlayed on a Nav map would be very useful.

Isn’t some sort of basic data plan included for the first few years? I’m pretty sure I have one that allows use of the weather app. Then again, my car recently starting telling me my data plan has expired and I need to purchase one. That’s after confirming that I have one and logging in a few weeks ago.

If you want to use the Weather Channel app that comes with the C8 and don't have a data plan for your car you can connect your C8 to your phone's hotspot.
