C8 - Wireless Charger not wide enough
This is more of a wish list item for future Corvettes. I wish they would find a better spot for the wireless charger, because where it is located now, is very awkward with regards to using it while it's charging. Though I do understand their rationale behind where they placed it for safety reasons and "keep your eyes on the road", but it's a real pain in the shoulder trying to get at it, with the angle at which it is placed.
Second, with the newer phones getting bigger and bigger, and the phone cases getting thicker, my new Galaxy S23 phone in it's case no longer fits in the wireless charger. One possible place for a flat wireless pad might be in the arm console as it's a nice flat area.
Just a thought...

I don't use the wireless charger in my C8 because it's so inconvenient to reach while sitting in the car. Instead I plug a USB cable in under the console lid and run it out to the cup holder where I place my phone -- much more convenient and reliable both for charging and using Android Auto.

Same problem with '19 Lexus es and '23 MB E450 cabriolet. Same solution.
So I didn't really have much hope I could use the one in the C8 when it arrives!!!
How can so many automakers (three continents) get this so wrong?

Kinda agree with you on size though phones feel like they might be getting close to max size.
I really like that it is a nice secure place, it connects works for charging and connectivity. One of my favorite features. My only gripe is I often forget it in the car (yes, the car does tell me I left in there, I just don't see the warning).

What case do you have on your S23? My Pixel 7 Pro in a Bellroy leather case fits fine with room to spare.

I only use the wireless charger when on a trip. Otherwise it is in my pocket.

2022 C8 of the Year Finalist - Modified
I tend to not use the wireless charger in my C8, but that's just because my cell phone rarely needs charging when I'm in the car. I never need to look at the phone when I'm driving. I usually keep it in my shirt pocket and use the wireless Android Auto.

Not only is it a really bad location, but I've found that the wireless charging doesn't keep up with the discharge rate (at least on my Pixel5), it causes the phone to overheat, and it works intermittently (probably more of a phone fit issue). For anything more than an hour in the car, I just connect it by cable in the center armrest.

like many of us, ditch the oem charger and pick up a ProClip.

I like the wireless charger exactly where it is. I put it in the charger before entering the car, and pick it up after I get out. Used with CarPlay, I have no reason to touch or look at my phone while driving. I'm fine with the size too, because I don't want to carry around a mini-iPad.
The charger works great with an iPhone with no overheat. It's kept my phone charged while running Waze on 8+ hour road trip segments.

^ understood, but for many of us there are apps that we use that are not accessible through CarPlay. While driving, whether you interface w/ the infotainment system or your phone it's the same involvement IMO.

Just Jealous
Of folks who use so much battery power. Must have a lot of very important things to do! And in the car no less. We put our iPhone X Max in the battery slot day two. Big phone plenty of room. And that is the last time. When we leave home, the phone is 100%. In a pocket or purse never out of either. And we just are not power needy enough for that to not suffice.

I think the idea is you're really not supposed to be interacting with your phone while driving. If you need to so you can pull over and take it out of the charging holder.
Honestly I do drive/text etc in my DDs and the C8 charging location protects me from myself. Lol
