MacMulkin Orders from NJ Residents
Hello,
Any experiences in ordering from MM if you are a jersey resident?
I just spoke to a gentleman with MM (Christian) and he said there are no preferred dealers in NJ or north east for that matter and they will have to ship it to me and it will probably cost an extra grand unless I drive up and pick it for free..
Is that your experience too?
cheers.

Yes.
Over the last few years certain courtesy dealers were causing delivery issues, which reflected poorly on MM as they actually ordered/sold the car. Thus, they stopped working with these dealers, so the list is much smaller across the US.

Thank you all for the input!
yes, given that, I am ranking my options as:
1) Ciocca with 600$ fees, 90 minutes QA way, hopefully no hassle as against the problems reported in corvette forum.com
2) MM, 7 hours away, which would work out about the same in terms of out of Pickett
3) criswell, fees tbd, 3 hours away, tbd fees and more to be researched on buying experience
cheers.

hi.,
You may want to see if Ciocca will charge their admin fee plus a courtesy delivery fee which would offset shipping cost.
Im on my third from MM. First 2 were shipped to me, the last( by far the best) , was museum delivery. All of which were better than dealing w/ driving on the 95 corridor and risking a cracked windshield or worse

Nice that you have three very good options in terms of a dealer to work with. Doubt you would go wrong with any of them,

ciocca will be longer and their customer service it’s really poor they do not answer emails or phone calls criswell it’s ok but takes too long compared to the other 2, I’m also in NJ central area and if I were you I will pick MM hands down and it’s not even close they have a great customer service it’s the fastest to get an allocation and the waiting list it’s so transparent that you can follow it on their website

You migt want to call hawthorne or paramus chevy, they were recently bought by a Long Island dealer and might be more open to courtesy deliveries now... it's worth a shot.
