Default New Corvette Dealers Atlanta

Does anyone have any suggestions or have had a positive experience with dealers in the Atlanta market. Looking at ordering a new Corvette and thought I would ask for recommendations?

Thanks,
John...

You might wish to go inspect each facility before doing anything else. Look around, see if there are any Vettes around, ask if they have any Vette "specialists" (sales and service). Talk allocations or lack thereof. I cannot speak to the situation in Atlanta, but I've had good results doing as I've stated when stuck with patronizing a semi "local." That said, it led to me trailering my C5 75-miles one way to have some successful post warranty work done quite some time ago, instead of using any of the nearer yoyos who couldn't spell Corvette... on a good day. All the best.

Default GA bigger dealerships

John, I suggest finding what each dealership has for allocations. The dealerships with high allocations have the better tech's, better support to you and from GM. There is a listing of dealership allocations. I will see if I can find it and add it to this entry.
Good luck.

For 2021, compared with top 100 dealerships:
Rating ------ Dealership ----------------------------------------------------------- Allocations ---------
7th RICK HENDRICK CHEVROLET DULUTH GA 248
11th JIM ELLIS CHEVROLET CHAMBLEE GA 190
27th RICK HENDRICK CHEVROLET OF BUFORD BUFORD GA 117
The Top 100 Corvette Dealers of 2021

Hendricks Duluth is the largest allocation followed by jim Ellis then Hendricks buford

i was on Hendrick Duluth’s waiting list last month and I could buy a car at msrp plus a protection package
the protection package was $7682
id pass

most order from MacMulkin Chevy in NH
the largest corvette allocation in America, the list there gets your car in 4-6 months and can be delivered thru a choice of atlanta dealers
they sell at msrp no add ons

just google 2023 corvette, if you use the build and price tool (enter your choices) at the end there is a "view dealer inventory" tab
hit that and it shows you all the listed inventory at every dealer in the country

The 2 big dealers are Hendrick and Jim Ellis. In the past, both had dedicated Corvette people, but the best guy at Hendrick left when they stopped selling at MSRP and started requiring expensive dealer "add ons". I bought mine from Ellis and worked with their Corvette guy, Reggie Stegmaier, who has a very good reputation among the Corvette community. He know his business and I was generally satisfied. But, if I had to do it over again, I would go with MacMulkin. Several in our Club have done that and were really pleased. You will get your car quicker, at MSRP, and you can do a Museum or courtesy delivery to your local dealer. Hendrick and Ellis will still be happy to service it for you. Good luck!

So was Ellis when I bought my 2022 (plus small Doc fee). Megel is actually closer to me but they are smaller and doesn't get as many allocations, so I went to Ellis. Megel does have a Certified Service Tech who gets good marks.

I bought mine from Hendrick Duluth before they added the protection package. I dealt with their since departed Corvette Sales Manager and he was great to work with. He also got me a C8 in five months. I bought my wife's Denali from Jim Ellis and the person I dealt with there seemed like he was in a hurry every time I spoke with him. The only reason I went to them was because they had the exact spec I was looking for in a Denali on their lot.

As far as service I use Hardy in Dallas because it's close to me, their Service Advisors are well trained on the C8, they have trained C8 techs, and they treat me very well.

I just spoke to Christian at MacMulkin today. He seemed straight up and honest. He tells me 4-6 months for delivery and no add on fees. Just not sure of the best delivery options. They only deal with certain dealerships for local deliveries. Here in the Atlanta market, they use John Miles Chevrolet. I am going to call them tomorrow and see what they charge for the PDI? Since I am in Georgia, Christian tells me I will only pay MSRP, I will pay the taxes at the tag office when I register it like i did for my last Corvette I bought out of state.

What do you guys think about being able to buy a new Corvette under MSRP in a year or so? I thought the market may adjust and this may be possible but I am beginning to have doubts?

If it was me I would do the MacMulkin deal. I think that's a great deal. I am confident that the local Atlanta dealers cannot get you one that quick, My 2022 was over a year wait. Miles is good and will charge a fair PDI. I think they bill GM, so I doubt that it will be an issue. Do not over think this. Pull the trigger and enjoy this amazing car. Prices are not coming down in any meaningful way. Trust me. You will not regret it. JUST DO IT!!

I second Megel Chevrolet in Dawsonville. Purchased my 22 Z51 coupe through them at MSRP. They have a dedicated certified Corvette technician (Butch), that's all he works on and he stays busy. Convenient for me, short wait list when I put my name on their list, straight-up no BS hassles, quick service.

The only MSRP dealer in ATL is Ellis and their waitlist is really long. It would be a lot quicker to buy from MacMulkin.

I live in ATL and I bought from MacMulkin. I placed orders with both MacMulkin and Ellis at the same time. Got the car from MacMulkin. Ellis still said I was a year out on waitlist.
