I'm still getting used to how the C8 colors change. Red mist has gold in it, olive in hypersonic grey, and gold in silver flare.

My C7 was Night Race Blue. Notoriously difficult color to photograph. It really threw purples in direct sunlight.

These 2 photos are the best representation of the color changes on my ELB that I could find on my camera reel. The rear being in direct sunlight, and after a proper bath.

I haven't seen Riptide in person, but I would absolutely order a 24+ in it.

Agreed…

Thanks for this photo! I'm getting a riptide blue and have a silver Nissan Titan. It's nice to see those colors together!

I have ELB and love it. When I bought paint for the engine compartment, I kept telling the paint guys it's deep metallic blue. They looked at the car and the paint formula.
They said it is metallic and it has pearl. Not just any pearl, but blue pearl.

OK, that explains a lot. That is why it looks different at different angles.

ELB is too dark for dreary upstate NY. I wanted something lighter and picked Rapid Blue. I would have preferred something in the middle. I think the new color would be perfect.

Good Call. The color has to fit your personality, the car, and the environment.

From Gates, originally… Had a new ‘85 blue IROC back in the day. It was the perfect color (at least for me) to show off at Charlotte beach—back when you could cruise around there at the end of Lake Ave lol
