Default AltForged Wheels

My Black 2LT Z51 HTC has a TPW of 5/15 and now it’s time to get serious about wheel selection. I had BCForged on my C7 Grand Sport and was satisfied.

I came across ALT Forged (www.altforged.com). Has anyone else taken a look at this company? I found some wheel and tire packages on their product that are about $1500 less than comparable offers from BC and others.

Not familiar and they look nice.

Check out Aerolarri Wheels and their "easy buy" C8 wheels. No matter what size wheel you get the offset will result in the wheel aligning with the fender.
They have an extremely large selection and an even larger selection of finishes.
Prices are about $2400 for a set. Could be more depending on finishes and options.

Find out where they are made and what they weigh (assuming they are really fully forged and not simple labeled "forged"). There are a couple good manufacturers on Taiwan, but China... no thanks.

Check out gemmotorsports.com and ALT Forged on ebay. Prices are even cheaper there. I wouldn't order off the altforged.com website as there is no contact info other than a contact form.

According to Gem Motorsports, these are built in Taiwan by the same manufacturer as BCForged etc.

First, they are no cheaper than BC Forged and there are only two wheel styles that fit the C8.

Pricing from Gem Motorsports is 20% less then MSRP listed on the ALT site, making the delta between them and BC more pronounced. Also, Gem has been generous with including finishes that are upcharges from other brands.

Yes, only 2 designs is a detractor but I was leaning towards those styles from more well known brands.

Why not try Wheel Designers they have plenty of wheels to choose from. The are a vender. I purchased my wheels from them in Nov 22. No problems I talked to James. I know other people have used them as well. I would purchase wheels from a place that are going to be there in case something happens to the wheel.

Very likely the same type of company as Aerolarri. Take similar designs, have them made in Taiwan (or China). Then wait for them to be made and shipped over.

I contacted them, they make them per order according to a message reply today on Ebay.

Be advised: just because something is made by the same manufacturer does not mean it is the same wheel as any other company's wheels made there, which also means it may not be made to the exact same quality and specifications of other wheels made at the same place. If you understand that I can give you an example of a "tire plant" that was owned by one of the Big Three (or four or five...) tire manufacturers way back when. In that plant, they made more than 14 completely different brands from their own Big Three company tires. They even made some for one of the other Big Three. Don't think all the tires were the same even if the tread "looked the same" as one of the Big Three's tires. It wasn't. It's all in the specs made by the buying company and the cost they wanted to pay to have it made there.

Good luck.

Although I've not received them yet, and they are due at my home in a week. I bought from them and they have kept close touch throughout the process. Their feedback on wheels is so far flawless. Am feeling confident they'll deliver.
