Best Ceramic Coating
Interested in opinions of the ceramic coating that you applied on your new Corvette and how often do you apply. Is there a difference in what is available.
Thanks

I was looking at "Graphene" products for a while, but determined them to be mostly gimmicky. In most cases they are 95% SiO2 anyway!
So far the CQuartz is working great. I use their Reset/Reload products to clean and provide an additional SiO2 top coat periodically.
ALWAYS WEAR GLOVES. SiO2 is really toxic stuff.

To properly apply ceramic coating you need a controlled environment, controlled temp, controlled humidity, light boxes so you can see the surface, you need to test the product flashover time, and apply in sections to prevent disaster.
The cheap stuff you buy at Autozone is designed to not create a flood of civil litigation suits. It only puts down a very thin coating that doesn't last nearly as long, like Mothers CMX. If you haven't applied professional SiO2 before, you are probably a lot better off just getting some CMX instead.

First time I’ve ever used ceramic coating and my installer used ceramic pro. Time will tell but was noticeably better than factory shine after application. My installer said they would reapply as necessary annually for the 5 year warranty. They didn’t mention a cost so they told me it would be complimentary.

You're gonna get a lot of answers here.
My guy only uses System X and what he used on my car has a lifetime warranty and they register the service with CarFax.
My car was done, inside and out, with every product category System X has. (paint, engine bay, interior, exhaust tips, brake calipers, wheels, etc.)

about 6 hours or so, less if you don’t need paint correction. Paint correction is not hard, but if you’ve never deswirled a car, you have to be very careful.
consumer products are not quite as good as the professional products, but they are easier to apply and don’t require oddball stuff like curing lights. If your car is new, it takes about 3 hours to do it.
Gtechniq makes consumer grade products and professional products. Many retailers use their consumer grade products because they are almost as durable. I did my vette with Halo over the film, Crystal Serum Light over the pain and EXO V4 over the whole thing. That took about 5 hours because I multilayered each. But it’s easy, anyone can do a good job. My first car is my 5 year old black Mercedes, black cars are a nightmare, but after paint correction it went smooth. It looks great.
In two or three years I will strip and reapply, no biggie. I think there are a lot of good products out there and I think most of them are very good. The chemistry has come a long way.

Crystal Serum Lite. With a topcoat of Exo V4. Did a light paint correction and applied. Took about 4hrs to do the ceramic and top coat. Not hard but there is a technique to not get high spots. Lots of videos on line. Just do small 2ftx2ft sections at a time. Makes the paint very hydrophobic. So much so that the foam from the foam cannon just beads up and wants to slide off. Applied Exo to the PPF too. Not necessary with the 3M G200 but I figured it wouldn’t hurt. Will reapply Exo as necessary.

The best ceramic coating is the one that is applied over top of a very thorough and meticulous paint correction!

I've done 3 cars myself using Gyeon Moths & Rim (withstands 1400 degrees of heat and great on exhaust tips) and 3 cars done by Just The Details in Dekalb Il with CeramicPro.

went with CeramicPro as I felt they had a great product and I did not want to spend the time applying
By the way Xpel as a great infotainment screen protector with a 12 year warranty; stops your finger oils from taking the gloss off the screens

My first C8 2021 I went with CeramicPro and it was great, my second C8 2022 I went with Feynlab and the difference is amazing. Feynlab makes the car look like its dripping gloss off of it.

Happy with Adam's ceramic advanced. Its on my C8, my Ducati and the DD F-150 Raptor. The effort as listed above is the prep - seal in the as perfect as possible paint before the coating.

You can buy the same stuff the installers get. A better reason NOT to do it yourself is that you can totally WRECK your paint job / clearcoat if you don't know what you are doing.
