Love the idea! One thing to consider, I don't think there is a distinct cut line at the barrel on these stock wheels. It's more of a rounded edge. I think it can still work but it will appear as a paint line.

But a Blade Silver C8 would look amazing with this color wheels. The dark grey would really set off nicely against that shade of silver.

Looks super nice. Hey GM, take a note on how the 5 spoke should have been released. The machined "stripe" was not needed/wanted by most of us.

Did something similar on my C7, didn't want to pay just for "black" wheels, so I got the Z51 wheels in base silver and then had them done in a carbon flash-like finish. Shop I went with even said someone came in about a quote, saw my wheels up on the rack cooling off and said "I want that finish!".
C8 I'm getting has the base wheels in black with machine face, still debating on whether I'll keep the stock wheels or go aftermarket, but if I keep the stock ones I'll probably do something similar.

Thanks for posting such amazing pics! I was just having buyers remorse- just dropped mine off at shop to do powder coat. I wanted to do gloss black originally and guy at shop talked me into Cadillac grey but was hard yo envision with only a swatch.

I just started panicking thinking I should go back yo gloss black but yours looks amazing. Thanks for the great pix.
