Default Best wax for C8

Can anyone tell me a good wax for my C8? Not interested in PPF or Ceramic Coatings.

Below is my regiment used on my vehicles every fall to help protect over the winter. Just noticed this morning after raining last night how well the water is still beading and Tacoma's finish and is super glossy and still slick as glass after 6 months totally out in the elements through the fall and most of the winter.
Meguiar's make great products.

Wanna throw some real money around? PolishAngel will set you back up to $490 for their top-of-the-line wax. They make others that aren't quite that expensive ($290 for Jubilee) and spray-on types for considerably less. Are they "the best"? I don't know how you'd judge that but if you like the wax on/wax off therapy they certainly will do the job while filling your garage with a manly aroma.

So much depends upon how much work you want to do vs how much shine/protection you desire...

1 )Griots Best of Show (Paste) Wax ............gives fabulous shine--- for about 4 to 6 weeks (assuming once a week wash)
1a) Griots Best of Show (Liquid)...... As above but 3 to 4 weeks. Easier to apply but not much easier to wipe and buff.
2) Griots Spray on Wax.......... easy on, easy off, .. about a weeks worth of protection, but hours less application time.
3) Collinite 845 (GOOD CHOICE) Easy on and off IF you follow directions and wipe it off just as it begins to haze. 4 yo 6 months of good shine and beading.
4) Collinite 746 ... .. a paste wax ..... a bit more work for 6 to 9 months of protection.
5) Collinite 915..... as #4 but for darker cars...
6) Williams Wash and Wax... best shine I've ever seen... good for a day or two. Use it on the day of a show AT the venue.

Honestly, one of the best out there for do it yourselfers is Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Pro Graphene Flex wax. I know, I know, Turtle Wax? This isn't your father's Turtle Wax. I've seen a few videos where they put this stuff through its paces, gives great shine, decent length of protection, amazing resistance to chemicals and its easy to apply. You apply the base coat after you have washed the car, clay barred it, etc. so that you are applying to a clean surface. The base coat is applied to a dry surface using a microfiber applicator. Spread it on, buff it off, no need to wait for it to haize or anything like that. After that, when you wash the car you can reapply by spraying on the car when its wet and drying with a microfiber cloth. Or, you can spray it on to a wet car starting from the top and then hit it with a good high pressure spray to spread it around, then dry the car with a good microfiber drying towel, its really easy to use. You only use two sprays per panel so it lasts a while. The purpose of the graphene is to eliminate water spotting issues that can happen with ceramic coatings and other types of SIo2 sealants.

It's about $25 per 23oz bottle, or they also have it in a liquid you can apply, but you lose a little of the flexibility you get with the spray. Plus, you can use any type of gloss enhancer on it like P&S Dream Maker if you really want it to gloss up.

For the price its hard not to try it.

I've seen these reviews and tests as well. I haven't tried it myself (having gone a different direction with ceramics) but would agree with you about Hybrid solutions... I was considering the paste wax form even. ... .. OP wanted to know about WAX, not ceramics tho (perhaps for the "fill" characteristic?

That Polish Angel above sure looks great. Hadn't heard of that one.

But to the original question, I like Zaino products and used them for years until I discovered Ceramic.

You might want to also try Mothers Hybrid.

Whatever you'd put on a BMW, Mercedes, Ferrari, etc., etc., ad infinitum.... is fine. Way too many people overthink the simple stuff.

Of course we have all had a million waxes and my favorite for a while has been Meguiars Gold ($28). I had just bought Meguiars new "Utimate ($46) when a friend started raving about Turtle Wax Hybrid Solution. Its not a pure ceramic coating but a mixture wax/ceramic. Anyhow he forced me to try and I was astounded. Seems ro last about 6 months and the equivalent to a professional ceramic coating. The one spray bottle has lasted my 2 years doing 2 coats every 6 months on 2 cars and 2 motorcycles. It takes 1/4 the time of a Meguairs Gold. Spray on; wipe off, no buffing and done by hand. I still have the Meguiars Ultimate in the box unopened.
