Now if I want to reconnect the screen for some reason, I'll have to remove the pedal and fish out the wire. Not that difficult, but if doing this over again, I would leave the wire that connects to the screen, easily accessible by running it under the carpet and having the one end sticking out a tiny bit, on the edge of the carpet where I can easily hook up the screen to it. I know others have done this and I think it a better idea, so you'll never have to touch the pedal assembly again if the Solar is staying. Up to you but either way, it's unlikely anyone will know the Solar throttle controller is installed in the vehicle.
I left enough length on the cable that I can fish it out at the top of the carpet above the pedal assembly.

I did not worry about it as I think I can have the bolt out and the pedal slid out in under 60 seconds if I had to

Got my controller today.

Now I just need a c8 to go with it. Won’t be long but questioning my restraint to have that in during break-in.

OP here.
I bought my Soler Controller 8 months before my car arrived. Saw the Black Friday sale and couldn’t resist.
I rented a C8 prior to ordering mine. I knew it would help make the car better.
For my job, around the time of my C8 order, I got to drive every make and model of car, truck and suv. I was amazed how different the throttle response was from one car to another. After driving the C8, I did some research and found Soler.
Its a great addition to give you the ability to make the car/ throttle respond the way you want👍.

My original controller didn't work for some reason. No display on the screen.
I sent it back and the replacement showed up today.
I really REALLY like this I haven't played with it much, just installed it, set it to sport 5 (that seems to be the sweet spot according to this thread) and went for a ride.
It wakes the car up and sets you back in your seat but isn't crazy. Just fun

Curious if this will work on the E-Ray or cause any issues. I feel like this would make it even more badass! Thoughts?

I guess it would depend if the electric system is synced with the accelerator or the throttle body voltages…???

Installed my first mod today and this was it. Based on what others here have posted, I started at Sport 5 and am pretty happy with it.

Default Congrats!

I have been driving mine in Sport 5 most of summer and like the acceleration over stock! Did you use code: ZERO60 to save some extra money on purchase?

enjoy!!

I spoke with Mike to gain a little bit of additional insight. Apologies if this has been posted already, but I really didn't want to go back and read 14 pages worth of posts. The Artificial Intelligence (AI) setting starts with Sport 5 and adjusts from there in a similar way as a fuel trim adjusts in the long-term based on short-term inputs.

For all the naysayers and bashers in here......I was one of you, hardcore. When I had my ZL1 I heard about these and just scoffed.......how stupid, all it does is adjust the throttle position based on what mode you set, it doesn't make it any faster, it doesn't add a single HP, what a worthless and dumb addition. Then I got one, more out of curiosity after I kept reading people rave about it and I was determined to prove myself right. It took only one drive to go "Holy crap this is legit!" It doesn't matter that you know exactly what it's doing, it doesn't matter that you know it's not a nanosecond faster or that you have gained 0 HP because it FEELS like you just gained a hundred HP (depending on the mode) and FEELS so much more responsive. It's literally the craziest thing, for something so simple to have such a profound impact on the enjoyment of the car. You've heard it several times and I'll repeat it....this is THE BEST $200 (or less with the codes) you will EVER spend on a car, I promise, it's that good.......I'm in the process of finding a C8 and I've already purchased one.

Agree, it's a super easy, and relative to other mods out there, inexpensive mod that adds to the enjoyment of driving the car. I was just as skeptical but having had it for awhile now really like it. Going back to the stock setting after having this for awhile the throttle response just feels dead in comparison. I get it, GM needs to make sure the car can deliver fuel economy and drivability across a very wide range of drivers.

Just a side note if anybody's wondering. I had the Soler in my '21 Stingray and it was great. Moved it into my '23 ZO6 and it performs just as it should.

I’ve had it installed in my C8 HTC for a month or so.

Tried all the modes. I can take it or leave it just not seeing all this night and day rave. Nice gadget I guess, but certainly not a must have. Nothing you can’t do yourself modulating how you put your foot to the pedal.

as stated, no more power, no faster acceleration just a different feel.

Pedal feel and response is everything in a sports car. Sure, you can put your foot to the floor to get the car to respond but the entire point of a performance vehicle is to have instant response. That "feeling" is what driving a sports car is all about. For some people this is a non-issue. They really don't care how the car responds or just push the pedal farther to get it to respond. What I like so far is not only that car responds quicker to a smaller pedal input but that it also effects how the car shifts to a degree as well.

Of course in the end someone can just put more foot into it or drive the car in Z mode or Track Mode all the time but this mod just provides another level of customization that some people enjoy. No mod is for everyone and not sure anyone in the thread is suggesting every C8 owner should go out and buy it, well other than the guys making money on it.

After setup I disconnected the display module and stowed it away in my center console and hid all exposed wires and control module under the carpet behind the accelerator pedal...A very stealth install....I control everything through the phone app now...

Very pleased!
Well, it's been 3 months since I installed mine (see above) on my Z51 and I'm still very pleased with the overall response and feel...I still have the controller set to Sport 4 along with primarily driving in Z-Mode with these settings below...

Nope. 60% is still 60% etc. Regardless of actual pedal position.

You may think and feel like it effects shifting but it does not.

I'll leave it installed for the $200 I spent and the 10 minutes it took to install. Just wouldn't do it again.

I think you're going to be very pleased...I got mine a few days after ordering.

I selected OE mode on the controller the other day just to see what it used to feel like and found the pedal response was somewhat sluggish / sloppy compared to Sport 4 that I've had mine set to for a few months now....

Sorry but It absolutely effects shifting time because the shift is dependent on RPM and how the car gets to that RPM is all about pedal position. My car absolutely shifts or should I say gets to the shift point sooner in Sport 5 or 6 because a much smaller pedal input gets the RPM there more quickly.

I was surprised by this side effect and realize it is not changing the shift points but reaction time due to how much quicker the car responds and gets to those RPM's. This is also more evident when driving the car in a mode where V4 is active. In Sport 5 or 6 setting the car does not go into V4 mode as early or as often in this setting which in turn provides the sensation of more power because in V8 mode there is more power on tap. Again, if someone is always driving the car in full time V8 mode this is not going to be as noticeable but gets back to the point of customization and how the car can have a different feel just because of pedal response and feel.
