$3500 option for HTC............ Not even close the new engine cross member is almost $3000, this would be $5000-$6000 if GM offered it for the HTC.

I'd buy it.

My 2023 2LT Z51 HTC is already $100k so what's another $5-6k?

Very nice engineering and fabrication Jeff! I wouldn't expect anything but the best coming from you. Time to start cranking them out.

I’ve met Jeff in person and he’s the real deal. He actually designed and developed an American supercar (the Falcon F7) back in 2013 so he definitely has the engineering talent and knowledge to do this right. When I talked to him initially, he explained what went into his original clear engine cover which included extensive heat testing and materials research. This clear tonneau cover was the next step that he mentioned he was working on when I first met him. Glad he’s finally finished it. I think it looks absolutely amazing. It’s exactly what GM should have designed for the HTC from the beginning. Can you imagine the excitement this would have generated if GM offered this option with the HTC? Even if that option cost $5000-$7500, it would still be a home run for GM and buyers. I live close to Jeff so I’m hoping to see this soon.

For those still wondering about his mechanical abilities, check this out! https://falconf7.com

Congrats Jeff on this awesome product. I’m sure lots of HTC owners (and GM) will quickly be beating a path to your door!

I'll be honest - probably the main reason I didn't go HTC is the lack of the engine view - so this would be a game changer.

Way better than the ones I posted from another company. This will be on my future E-Ray HTC...

Now I would consider the HTC instead of the coupe.

A very cool piece of design and engineering, but I have enough trouble seeing over the existing hump (when the top is down, and the camera inactive). I imagine I wouldn't be able to see much of anything past this. And I think the original design simply looks better. This is too busy and disrupts the lines of the rear deck. An impressive achievement, but not for me. To each his own.

It's fantastic looking, but the HTC is my wife's car, she does not need top see the engine to make her happy, it just has to start.

Really? Honestly??

I bought the HTC because in addition to top-down motoring, looking at an inexpensive plastic engine cover was of no interest to me at all.

FalconF7...I sent photos and minor words to Mary Barra concerning your design in hopes to hit you up for possible use on future C8s. I received a response telling me to submit it to GMs New Devices Section of which I did. They responded with a receipt of my submission. Nothing may become of it but if so, it would mean mega $ for you and rightfully so. Good luck! Here's my words:

Ms. Barra, hello…

I know you’re not seeing this directly but I’m praying your Office Assistants will forward to you. There is a well known car company that has created a see-through hatch for the C8 HTC that is wonderfully done and has excited a countless number of enthusiasts.

The company is Falcon F7, can be reached here or simply Google it if you fear this link is a threat: https://falconf7.com

I’m attaching several photos for your review as well as the Thread link on Corvette Forum https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...wanted-it.html

Hoping to order this via you on my future C8 E-Ray HTC but if not, I surely will order from the company themselves.

Thank you in advance.

Mr DJ
