MACMULKIN and Criswell
I have often wondered. With literally hundreds of Chevy dealers across the country, why are so many Corvettes purchased through Macmulkin and Criswell? Are they that much less money than other dealers for the same car? Are they all sold at MSRP? Is the "order to delivery" time significantly less?

Both Macmulkin & Criswell, as well as Ciocca, sell every new Corvette at MSRP and they do large volume so they get more allocations than your typical local dealer. Can you find a dealer somewhere in the US that will get you a car at MSRP faster than them, yes, but it may be a lot of time & effort calling dealers. MM, Criswell & Ciocca are the "easy" button of ordering and have built a good reputation on the forum as the "go to" dealers.

I used MM because of their price, availability, and reputation. I have tried to buy my last three corvettes locally and they are not negotiable at all. They wanted $5K over when I bought my 2016Z and I bought it for about $10K under. For the C8, the same dealer wanted $15K over MSRP and his wait time was longer than MM. I ordered from MM last July and will get delivery in early May. I checked with the local dealer again about a month ago and they were still at $10K over with a 12-15 month wait. The local dealer is a large dealer but doesn't deal with me. Must be my attitude. My last 4 Corvettes (07,09,16, and 23) have been bought from internet dealers and never a problem.

- With the volume they get the process is as predictable as possible. They get a high number of cars so I don't have to guess when I'm going to get a car. With other dealers it's a roll of the dice when an allocation comes through. I don't mind waiting, I mind not having the process be clear and somewhat predictable.
- No games (or at least minimal games). With a volume sales model playing games isn't really in the interest of the high volume dealer. No surprise costs or giving my allocation to someone else.

I've only bought from MacMulkin, and the whole experience was a pleasant one. Always MSRP, and no BS.
One thing MacMulkin provides that I don't think ANY other dealer does (or at least not as well) is order tracking on their website. You always know where your order stands, so you can follow your car's progress and plan for when you'll get an allocation and for when your Corvette will be delivered. To me, that's a huge benefit!

I bought my C7 GS from Criswell. 12% under MSRP, no hassles, no surprises, great experience. I figured why test fate and went back for my C8 at MSRP.

I only wish they were close enough so I could do service with them as well. That’s something I’ll have to figure out as I don’t know if I trust my local dealership for that either.

I'm a multiple time Criswell buyer, and I live 50 miles away from them. The biggest Corvette dealers also tend to have the best service departments with multiple, highly qualified, Corvette techs because they service a lot them. So if you live close enough to one to have your services done, that's a huge plus.
Criswell has never failed to take care of any issues I've had quickly, and routine services have always been done with the utmost care.

My C8 purchase process was so darned good with MacMulkin that in the event I look for a car/truck in the future that is a brand which they sell, I'll prob get thru them...regardless of where I live (since they're in NH).

I agree. In fact, I am thinking of buying my wife a new Cadillac SUV, and since MacMulkin is also a Cadillac dealer, I think I will go to them first (FYI, I'm in South Carolina).

Large allocations, great pricing, absolutely no games or BS unlike my local dealers who are a joke. My last 3 Vettes were from MM and Criswell, I think I'll always buy from them unless something unexpected happens.

First corvette was with kerbeck ..large discount.

I first went to a local dealer whose website said they had multiple models on the lot. Got there and they had one used one. The salesperson barely wanted to get out of his chair to go outside with me. Told him I was paying cash for my C8 and he about yawned.
Friend at work knows the sales manager at another Chevy dealer. I got him on the phone once that was it. Wouldn't reply to an email. Again on a cash sale with me calling him.
Long time Forum member that i am, I trust what those here post. So I made deposits at MM and Ciocca. Criswell didn't impress me. I expect MM will get me my car first.

The Top dealers don't pull this BS. You get what they advertise and they get a ton of cars so the wait could be relatively quicker or much quicker than a local dealer that gets 6 Corvettes per year. They also have the experience to get things taken care of if there are any issues with the car. Ciocca for example has ordered a replacement car for customers in their next allocation if the original car had an issue such as damage upon arrival at the dealership. Smaller dealers don't have this luxury as they don't have the allocation.

I am in the ordering process with MacMulkin (MM). Process is Transparent and hassle free and fast; I went to 3000 in about 2.5 months. They sell at MSRP with no doc/tag/other dealer fees. They have an online waitlist tracker, so you check your waitlist status. Deposits are refundable until allocation.
