I chose 2LT with GT2 seats because I didn't want the worry of having the dash delaminate on the 3LT...Also, I'm not a big fan of the faux suede upper trim pieces that come with the 3LT package...

I think the only reason to go 3LT is if you want one of the special colors that aren’t otherwise available.
I went rapid blue / tension blue.
After speccing for GT2 seats, two tone, and seatbelt color the 3Lt is a very small step away.

3LT is all cosmetic. If no one told you, you'd think the dash and other surfaces in the 2LT are leather. Are the cosmetic differences worth the monetary difference to YOU? It wasn't to me. The only part of the 3LT I wish I had is the stitched airbag cover.

I stepped up to the 3LT - Alcantera all over, upgraded steering wheel cover, better leather. You can feel the difference in a 3LT. I'd originally ordered 2LT but changed my mind. Glad I did, but get what makes you happy.

I’m sure if you go to a Mustang forum or a BMW forum you’ll find people posting warnings about flaws in that product too.

I’ve had 3LT cars going back to the 2008 C6 I ordered then that was followed by a ‘13 427, and now a ‘22 HTC. I have not had any dash delaminating issues in any of my cars. I guess, of the thousands of Corvettes that are produced, if a couple of cars have issues and that info is posted on a forum, then all of the cars have it…not! Order what you want or you can afford and be done with it. Just enjoy the car you purchase and don’t let a bunch of idiots on a public forum dampen your experience. It is possible that some of the people that post can only dream of owning a Corvette.

I just didn't want to take the chance after seeing a C8 sitting on the showroom floor with only 3 miles on it with dash delamination already...If it wasn't an issue, we would not be speaking about it all!
In addition, the faux suede upper trim is just not something that appeals to me ...But to each their own!

Agree -- for Rapid Blue, I think adding the 3LT to get the two tone tension blue is the only way to go, it just makes the car a bit more special IMO.

A little harsh to call people idiots when the OP was asking for opinions. For those that have had the dash issues it will dampen their experience. Some don’t want to take that chance and opt for a safer option. Don’t think that makes them an idiot. Very unnecessary comment.

I like the 3LT. That's just my opinion.

It's probably much less common than the paint peeling issue and always taken care of under warranty. I sleep fine with my 3LT and would gladly let someone pay the difference. My paint peeling issue was resolved quickly and thoroughly.
