I live about an hour NW of Atlanta and got mine in five months at Rick Hendrick in Duluth. I think their wait time is a lot longer now. I helped two friends last year with their builds. One of them lives in White and the other one in Dewey Rose. They walked into two different rural dealers in November 2021 and had their 2022s by late March. I think you'll have better luck at getting an allocation if you don't mind getting on the phone and making some phone calls to rural dealers. If you are looking for one on a dealer lot at MSRP I don't think you are going to find one in the Atlanta area. You may have to research Chevy's website for inventory and when you find what you are looking for go to the dealer's website to see if it's available. They are out there - it just takes a lot of work to find one. Good luck!

Have you considered using the builder to build your car and then start calling dealers who may have what you want and will sell for MSRP? Set your zip code and slide the distance to 2000 miles.
When the plant is rolling the listed inventory changes as cars roll off the line and ready to ship. So check it daily or multiple times a day.
Of course not all of the cars listed are for sale, in fact most will be to fill orders. However you will find cars in inventory and some dealers who are not greedy AF.
When the wife and balked at the wait times I did the above and had my new car, in my garage exactly 2 weeks into the search. While I was unable to find the EXACT match, it was 95% of what I would have ordered. I wanted the Q9I wheels and the high wing. Both of which I can buy and swap whenever I want. 2 months later I'm glad I didn't get the high wing and now I want aftermarket wheels.
Note: I was willing to travel by plane, train, boat, or car to get the car and drive it home. I ended up getting it ~300 miles from home. Took a one way rental to get it.

My local dealership, Paul Masse Chevrolet, East Providence RI, called this morning.
They have a 2022 HTC, Red Mist, only 1200 miles odo. They are calling people on a wait list.
Call ASAP and the early worm ......
I am 2nd on the 2024 list. I expect to take delivery by October.

I just received a text message from a salesperson at the local dealer. She wrote that they are getting two in and asked if I could pass the word if I know anyone looking. Her name is Emily and the dealer is Casa Chevrolet in Alamogordo, NM. I had my name on their list but it came up quicker on another dealers list. They were a MSRP dealer when you ordered a car. I don't know about these cars and I have no stake in this other than trying to be helpful.

Another option. Buy a preowned 2022 or 2023. Lots of them out there you can buy at less than MRSP with often less than 1000 miles on the clock. All still with factory warranty and if you want, I never do, you can buy an extended warranty.
