Was supposed to be 3/13 TPW but it got pushed to 03/20 based on vin tracking. And now it’s 03/27 at the earliest. Pour one out homies.

Has anyone ever got any semi legit info on this and the last shutdown, in regard to what are the shortages. I got caught in the last 1 week shut down but the car did get built and I pick it up tomorrow. Pretty happy, the whole process took 8 months and it could have been only 6 months but had to wait 2 months more for an allocation that would allow for both Z51 & mag ride. Things have changed a bit in the last several months. When I ordered & purchased my C7 Z06 I was able to get it for $5000 less than MSRP and wonder how long before that will be able to be done again. Has any got good info on the current build info (quantities) re: rt & left hand drives SRs & rt & left hand drive Z06s. I think I heard the Z06 engines are the limiting factor for their production quantity.

My car is built and was invoiced today. I would think that it is outside getting wrapped up today, and would be ready for transport in a few days.
If the plant is shut down, will the transport trucks still run?
If the car is built and ready for transport, I would think the trucks keep running as long as there are cars to pick up.
Anybody know for sure.?

This happens, and I get it. It's not fun. I went through several shutdowns and delays before I got my C8:

But you will all get yours soon! This, too, shall pass.

Yes, Jack Cooper Transport operates even if BGA is shut down. Corvettes are still delivered.

yes, the transports will run. My car was built the day before the last shut down a month ago. It wasn’t road tested, only had one mile when it when on the truck. FYI, the truck may not run on the weekend, it took 4.5 days to get my car to the dealer 850 miles away. But it got there safely.

you are almost there!

Government Motors behaving like Government Motors.

Pretty pathetic really.

Get your supply chain and production processes in order.

Mary, Mary, quite contrary …

What happens to the assembly plant tours that have already been scheduled and paid for through the Museum?

Happened to us with our C7. Bad weather had delayed parts delivery and the plant was down the day we took delivery. We went to the plant and took the tour as if it were up and running. All was standing still and a ghost town.

Bummer.

I'm taking museum delivery next Saturday, March 25, and had set up a plant tour thru Shane for Friday afternoon, March 24. I just spoke to Becky at the NCM, and she told me that GM no longer allows plant tours during shut down. So, not even a ghost town walk through. As for having paid for that tour as part of the museum delivery option, she said they will give me a voucher good for one year, Big whoop...

not sure about Chev, but i spent 30 yrs with another Auto Mfg company, and any shutdowns didn't affect shipping....Shipping was a separate entity from manufacturing, so I'm thinking shipping will continue....
