In my C7 coupes I could carry two cases of wine, a 20 qt Yeti cooler, a take down gun case or two, and LOTS of other stuff. C8, nope.... Yeti cooler, if it goes, goes in passenger seat... either passenger or Yeti goes... I looked at a '23 CT4-V "Blackwing" day before yesterday... trunk space, yes. Car is fast and handles extremely well.... but, because of the bolsters it's harder to get into than the C8.
Needless to say, I did NOT trade...

I miss the small cubbie in the C7. It was where I kept my gun.

1. Maybe just a tall guy problem but I think the seating position could have a better range of motion. Really I am asking for headroom lol, another 1-2" would open this car up to a lot more people. IDK if the seat could go lower or just make the cabin a little bigger or a combo of both. I sorta kind mostly fit comfortably but not 100% and a helmet is out of question for me in the car without seriously slumping.
2. Better finish on the transparent top. Either finish the edges in body color or black out the A pillar to make the car look more complete. In anything but black it looks just weird having the edges not match.
3. Including blind spot and digital review mirror on all models. Really don't care about all other 2LT features but for the ease of use that really should be a standard feature in 2023. Add $500 to the base price if needed but you would think for ease of manufacturing this would pay for its self. Hyundai's have better safety features standard.

Well, just after I bought my C8, I was up at my local audio shop, and a home stereo tuner that I was expecting came in unexpectedly early, There was no way in hell that tuner was going to fit in the C8, while it would have fit in rear of the C7 quite nicely. I had to go get the tuner the next day in my Charger.
My normal "kit" for when I go autocrossing fit nicely in the C7, but would not in the C8. Now by getting different sized containers, and careful placement, I can get the stuff in the C8, but it required more care.
I would not want to try to bring a 24 or 36 pack of water home from the grocery in the C8, while it was not an issue in the C7.
I could go on a weekend away in my C8, but I wouldn't want to try it if my wife was coming along. Umm, I'll just say that she tends to bring more stuff than I do.
I'm not sure that I could just drop someone off at the airport in the C8 if they had anything but the smallest of luggage.
(And these are just the things I've noticed after having the C8 for only a month.)

For sure a personal problem but you would think with manufacturing complexity not having rear camera for 2 trim levels out of 12 (1,2,3LT/Verte or Coupe/stingray or Z06) isn't saving them that much money. But yea it is not dangerous with out by any means. A Camaro has worse visibility imo.

The corvette engineers were so intent on isolating the accessory drives of the engine from the passenger compartment that the closed cockpit of the c8 z51 with npp is so serene, so quiet compared to the previous generations I miss the engine roar of the previous generations,
so it was the engineers excellence that has value as a grand tourer compared to previous generations that I miss the closed cabin engine and exhaust sound inside the cockpit during the winter months. All spring, summer and fall I travel with the windows down and most of the time. With the roof off.
im specifically ordering a z06 htc to better meet my desires for visceral excitement which I think was by design.
as second unknown feature is how the stored targa top lays in the c8 vertically as opposed to horisontally in previous generation front engine rear drive corvettes.
I used to be able to go food shopping and put the bags of food under the horizontally stored targa top. Not any more.
not a big deal on either account. Clearly excellent compromises by corvette engineers yet you asked the questions so I thought I’d post up what I have found different in daily driver usuage.
not a big deal and I think my selection of c8 z51 htc will deliver excellence to my standards a little better. It’s an extra 40 grand but I think these attributes as well as all the others make my eventual order if they ever produce enough a smart move for me.

get rid of the c8 and go back to the c7 or get an suv, lol this is a sports car made for spirited driving not grocery getter and who will take their C8 to drive someone to the airport when you have other cars, idk I think some people don’t get what the C8 was really meant for…. Just saying…
Drive them hard and have fun with the things. They will get banged up a bit but who cares.

I would agree with those who mention the blind spot issues.
Its not just a matter of adjusting the mirrors, that works fine for driving normal street driving, it does not work well in other scenarios.
The situation that is really difficult for me to deal with is when coming to non perpendicular intersection when the oncoming cars don't have a stop sign, Normally you'd just look over your shoulder and check if its clear, you can't do that with the C8 because of the nacelles. Since I have a HTC, I've take to lowering the roof and standing up to see if the road is clear.
I suspect that has pissed off a driver or two behind me, but I'd rather do that then get in an accident.
I love the look of the car as well as the nacelles, but they do have some draw backs.

Now here is the video for you. Here's a C8 owner lamenting that the owner's manual doesn't have any tips for storing your machine guns in a C8. Also as an added bonus you can hear how to get AFT approval for silencers on your machine guns.

I have a big complaint with the C8. The ECU is locked. I look forward to get my C8, but I'm going to miss the C6 A&A Supercharger. 580 rwhp. I guess the added traction of the C8 and rapid fire shifting of the DCT will go to offset some of the downsizing in hp.

The thing that annoys me is, when i got stealth interior.. i expected everything to be black. Why is the shift selector area still bright silver color? and the area on the steering wheel and paddles still silver?! Annoying.

For my wife... she hates the fact there's not a "panic handle" in the C8 for the passenger to grab onto.
For me... the lack of a bright green instead of the dirty diaper-cactus green they're shoving down our throats. In fact, the whole color pallette needs a refresh and fire the person in charge of color choices.

The OP asked for comments about what is not to like about the C8, and the comments I've made list some of the negatives that I've noticed. These points and those that other people have pointed out could be useful information if someone is on the edge of whether or not to buy a C8, or the differences noted could be inconsequential (if, for example, the OP's garage is bigger than mine).
As for the true purpose of a Corvette, I've autocrossed all of my Corvettes, and I intend to autocross my C8. I do get discouraged that as I see more C8's on the street, I've seen only a precious few at the autocross events that I've attended.
