Check engine light
Got the dreaded engine/transmission, emissions system need immediate attention from Onstar. The check engine light is on.
Will Onstar give me any trouble codes? Anything I need to check?
2021 HTC.
I guess a dealer visit is in order.

Free Advice Worth The Price
I'd go fill up with gas. Drive it through a couple of ignition cycles. Often these things go away on their own.

With about 700 miles on my '22 filled car with gas. When leaving gas station, noticed CEL was on steady. Called dealer. He said likely fuel related. "Run through tank and let's see." Drove around town, no change. OnStar reported error code P31E8 - emissions related.
About a week later (down about 1/2 tank and several start/stop cycles later) it went away and no issues with over 17,000 miles.

I suggest you buy a code-reader. Everyone has them for sale and most cost very little, working well. Some, at least, come with many common codes noted. I've had an Autel for years using it with Vettes, Rams, and who knows what. All the best.

If for some reason OnStar doesn't give you the codes, stop by a local auto parts store where they should have a code reader and can give you the codes.

Pulled two more codes. Oh boy.
P0700
P00FF
To add, the car recently had the tranny filter changed and the oil and filter service.
Anyways, back to the dealer on Wed.

P0700 is the code that tells the computer to turn on the check engine light. You need another code for the problem.
This is what I found from another poster about P00FF. "It is just an informational code. It means some other fault in the ECM, or another module entirely, asked the ECM to turn the light on."
Doesn't sound too serious, but getting it to the dealer to check it out is probably the best thing to do at this point.

Dealer said it was a transmission issue earlier today. Apparently someone there diagnoses the code then hands the car off to the corvette tech. Just a guess.
Will hear in the AM. Hope it doesn’t mean a new transmission.
I haven’t been following, are the 22’s and 23’s having issues? Mine is a 21.

Turned out to be low voltage in the battery, so they said. They charged the battery.
Don’t know how as I keep it on a tender.
They cleared all codes, non reappeared.
We’ll see.

I got a code CEL on my way back from Bowling Green. I called onstar and they said I was good to drive home and then check in with the dealer. 20 miles later and 2 starts the light went out. Never been on since. I have 9,000 miles on the car now.
