Paranoia, anyone else?

Paranoia, anyone else?
Just submitted my order yesterday and as I get closer to actually getting this car, the more nervous I get.
I live in a relatively poor area, nothing too crazy, but when I get my car, it will most likely be one of the nicest in the area. Does anyone have any tips or advice in this aspect?
Like parking a mile away, avoiding WalMart, etc...
Generally, I'm worried about theft and vandalism.

Paranoia. You’d be surprised at how many people just don’t care.. insure it, keep it in the garage if you have one, put up a camera. That’s about all you can do.
Oh and don’t **** the neighborhood off.

Its Not A Church
Hard to steal, worthless to a serious thief. I'd be worried about my Accord or Hyundai though. And a double shot of humility would be a great elixir.

I'd use that $80,000 spent for the C8 to improve my residential prospects. I assume you don't have a garage?

This is the only tip that comes to mind. What is the point if you have to look over your shoulder every moment and can’t park anywhere.
Not to be negative but if you don’t have a garage or secure driveway, I wouldn’t bother. Parking a mile away just makes it easier to take with you nowhere nearby. Make sure whatever insurance you keep pays out based on market value.

I'm not sure why you think I'm in need of humility. You can objectively tell when you have one of the nicest cars in an area.

That’s why you have insurance! Try not to stress out too much. I even drove mine in the rain and nothing happened.
Drive it and enjoy. Just don’t go looking for trouble like taking up 2 parking spaces.

While I don't live in a sketchy area, there is no fricking way I'd leave it in any Walmart parking lot, shopping malls, etc. I've got other older vehicles that can be used for those purposes.
