Two questions:
1. Can water get between the OEM mirror and these and cloud the blind spot light in a 2 or 3 LT?
2. If put on both sides does it disorient you in that the only way to really judge distance is only the center rear view mirror?

That could happen but probably a little squirt of clean water would clear any dirt build up. But probably the least useful accessory is the "blind spot indicators" because the car in the blind spot has to be so close to you for them to activate that they are almost completely useless.

This mod is definite improvement, and worth the money, just installed mine and tested it in traffic. I used a thin cardboard to install and it worked great, your way may work well also.

I agree with my month-long, 1,000 mile experience using the Sandyeggo 2LT/3LT driver side mirror. It is definitely and improvement and I would purchase it again.

Gonna stick to something like these. I appreciate the dual-view aspect of the inset; I find it helps me judge distances/ranges better than a single view. Plus, if my mirrors are angled to just slightly show the side of my vehicle, these will basically sit in that pocket, and cost me 0 viewing angle (I put them inboard and low, rather than outboard).

If you look at my posts above you can see I had some real concerns. I did put them on both sides. I should of done it earlier. NO blind spots.
Yes you can eliminate blind spots mostly by adjusting the mirrors but this is so much better and I can see the side of my car all the way out beyond the lane besides me.
Best mod I could have made. With the center camera and the mirrors the vette is so much easier to maneuver.

Actually, the 'blind spot' warning lights work just fine!! There's an unsilvered round shaped spot allowing the OEM warning lights to shine right thru from behind.

Since the OEM passenger side mirror is already convex, for anyone that has it- does the Sandyeggo passegner side mirror have a significantly wider field of view, or is it negligible?

I did both sides. Great view. The passenger side is wider then stock and enough to make a difference. No blind spots now on any side now.

@123vette456 Wait, was this a typo? The Sandyeggo side mirror has a narrower field of view than stock for the passenger side?

^^^
While I didn't get the passenger side, I'm pretty sure that was a typo considering how wide the driver's side is.

I use the ones from Paragon Performance myself but whether it be those or these, just upgrade those side mirrors for safety sake.

Yes sorry a typo. I corrected it.
