Yeah, and then the video shows a 5.5whp gain at 5800rpm. So, typical tuner 'inflation' wherein the product delivers X amount of power so advertise it as 2X horsepower.

Just enough to be more (5hp) but not enough to be significant. I personally don't think it will happen, but any increase is always welcome.

Maybe they'll play the tenths of a second game and it will magically do 0-60 0.1 second faster than the previous model year!

With 418 ft/lb of torque. C8 still has more torque that's available in a wider rpm range. HP is meaningless if not combined with torque.

I don't see it happening either. GMA's track record isn't great on these predictions.

And the Z06 has less torque than the SR. I guess that's meaningless as well

Why would Chevy raise it by 5-11hp? Must be a sales gimmick to get more people interested in the Sting ray!!!. Right...

Exact reason, horsepower numbers, 0-60 and 1/4 times sell performance cars.

The spy pics clearly show Euro market headlights/tail lights which suggests this is specifically for EU recertification likely due to new 2024 EU requirements, not more power. A USDM C8 with test pipes would change my mind.

I guess the lighter color threw everyone off the correct answer to this drama..

I didn't change any font colors. Weeks before that I switched to the forum's built-in Dark Mode and since then have been using this forum with everything else left as default. I guess blame this website's devs for non-seamless integration between Light and Dark Modes.

If I were a betting man I would say not more than 25-30HP not enough to make a huge difference but enough to look better on paper. I’m guessing this will be because of the eray in some way.

On the other hand they could be testing a horsepower decrease to meet various government regulations ie California emissions. Anytime a production engine is changed it has to be recertified.
