In my area, and local car shows, I’ve actually never seen a black C8 in person. It’s my preferred color. Can you confirm that even on black C8’s, all of the front grill trim, side trim, and trim at the rear is still carbon flash on the stock C8? I circled the areas I’m referring to. I plan to order a black 1LT with no aero, but add the accessory low profile spoiler that comes in carbon flash. Just trying to figure out if I’d want to paint the spoiler body color, or leave it carbon flash. Can anyone post any pics of the carbon flash trim that picks up the difference in the 2 finishes?
It is still carbon flash unless you spec body color highlights or whatever they call it. It is pretty hard to notice the difference but you can see it in bright lighting.
Yes it’s still carbon flash. I even ordered my black C8 with carbon flash low rear spoiler and mirrors. When looking at the car at normal distances it’s hard to tell it’s different from the rest of the car. When you look close to it you can see the carbon flash difference. Most people just see a black car.
As noted in title, you cannot spec body color trim on black C8’s…at least you could not for a 2022.

Best thing about black, is the carbon flash basically appears black, and it all just melds together. Hence why I bought my 6th black vette. Z06 will be black as well.
…then leaving the accessory low rise spoiler carbon flash would be best…might avoid a mis-match actually since all the other trim is carbon flash…
I think the low spoiler comes body color. The only way to get it carbon flash would be to order the 100 dollar carbon flash mirrors option which would also include carbon flash spoiler.

The GM Accessory spoiler I’m talking about comes in Carbon Flash and isn’t available to order from the factory. It can only be bought as an accessory…all though it’d be nice if GM made it a factory option too!

Pretty sure the Carbon Flash mirrors and Spoiler option can’t not be added to a black car.
I have that option on my black C8. Had I not ordered it with that option the mirrors and spoiler would’ve been body color (black).
