They have a $42 one too which is actually cheaper because you get a $17 m1 oil filter with it that you can immediately return. So 5 quarts for $25

That is high but call him and maybe he will knock off some on the next change...Wait till you have to changes the trans fluid
.. I have heard anywhere from $600-800???
I paid $84,000 for my car and only change the oil once a year...Its worth it to me and I am getting to old to slide under a car. ..Suppose you cross thread the filter or plug??
I love doing my own work but as Clint use to say....A man has got to know his limitations??? I know mine

If they'd let you bring your own oil and filter $20 labor would be a deal.

Reminder for the DIY owner...you'll need a larger capacity oil drain pan if you're draining yours for the first time.

Anything over $0 is too much.

Another reason for purchasing local for me. Aside from all of the obvious and previously stated reasons, my local dealership provides LIFETIME FREE oil changes on ALL new vehicles they sell. It offsets the MSRP price I paid - NO markup aside from the standard dealer fee they charge on all models of vehicles they sell.

Checked my local Auto Zone and the only 0W-40 they're showing is the European Formula.

That is dexos2 certified and is OK for the C8.

I thought I had read somewhere the European Formula wasn't recommended for our C8's. THAT makes it a lot easier for me to find some oil....thx!

There is an European formula that isn't dexos2 certified so you need to be careful. The ESP X3 version is dexos2 certified.

I won’t touch a car unless it’s has full service records…. Including oil changes.

Recently looked at car that had zero service records for the first 45,000 miles. Probably a lease. A receipt from KMart for oil isn’t good enough.
