2022 C8 of the Year Finalist - Modified
It's been almost 10 months and I still haven't received mine. Everything I've read on the forums says it could come in as little as 3 months or as long as 1+ years with no rhyme or reason. I'm trying to be patient.

Apparently there was a shortage of HTC models in Arctic White. They are shipping now. Mine arrives Monday almost 13 months after taking delivery of my car.

It took me 8 months to get mine and as far as i know they are still doing it..I got a call yesterday from the concierge asking me if I had gotten my gift...Yesterday was one year day on my vette...She says she was checking to see if people got their gift....So be calm its coming and it is cool...The funny thing to me it also took 8 months to get the real thing....

My speed shape model arrived yesterday, 10/22/2022.
Museum delivery 10/7/21.
Black HTC.
The model is rather cool albeit smaller that I expected.
Cheers!

De-Stress eh?
Hard to understand the harsh criticism regarding delivery of something you get as a gift. What difference does it make when you get it? Today tomorrow the day after. And GM didn't have to design and send you anything at all. Their choice. You didn't buy a $100K car to get a $50 glob of plastic on a cheap plastic base. Chill folks.

The criticism from me wasn't about the free model, .... I agree with all of that 100%. It was a commentary on the state of business management (not just US) and frankly how unprofessional it has become overall in recent decades. Some of the complaints on the forums would not exist with better management overall. There wouldn't even need to be a SS if the CC did the job properly. No Mas, No Menos.

I don’t think there is a particular reason on the time it takes. Maybe made by color? Someone knows! None of us.
I bought a car Oct of 21 model came in august. Bought another car in Feb 22 and model came in April?
I never chased them, actually forgot about them. This thread reminds me I got 3 to sell need to post that.

Most of the people who have posted about getting their model over the last few days (myself included) looks like they are black HTC cars. A few HTC cars in other colors. They may not have judged exactly how many HTC cars would be purchased.

I just received mine today. 369 days after taking delivery of my car. I had pretty much given up on it. I called about it several times and never got the answer I was looking for. Yesterday, I received a notice from FedEx indicating I had a delivery coming from the Chevrolet fulfillment center. What a pleasant surprise!

I took delivery of my 2022 in March, just received my model today, so about 7 months. I was surprised by the size and the quality. The pictures I've seen don't do it justice. The model and base are not just cheap plastic. The base is thick solid plastic and has a magnet built into it. The car is metal with a felt bottom. It's quite heavy but smaller than I imagined. In the second picture, I placed a credit card next to illustrate the size.
