Default Question about emission alert.

On the way home tonight, I received a text message that said diagnostic alert: on the emission system. Schedule Corvette to dealer within seven days. Just checking has anyone else ever received this message? I only have 4000 miles on the 2020 Corvette.
Thanks in advance.

If its emissions related, and if you don't have your own OBD2 reader, you can take it to autozone, advanced. etc and have them read the codes.

Just get a cheapo reader about anywhere... with today's rolling 'puters it's a good investment.

Or just take it to the dealer and have them diagnose and repair as needed. I would think you would still be under the emissions warranty.

Press the blue OnStar button and they can tell you. No reason to go anywhere or buy anything.

^^ nope, loose gas cap is a known code thrower on modern Corvettes. Check to see yours is tight (since the C8s don't have a "capless" closure like many modern cars do.

Interesting. on another thread here within the last week a C8 owner indicated it was not. I do not own one so I'll go with your comment.

Owner’s Manual. Page 229. “The capless refueling system does not have a fuel cap.” The C8 is in its fourth model year, it’s time to put the “check the gascap” comments to rest.
